Flavey faves!

I'm crazy tired, I'll just say that real quick. Caleb and I have been SO busy this week with our church's sports camp (post to come on that next week!), every night after work. It stormed pretty bad Wednesday night so it was cancelled, but I did get a chance to go to Sweet Frog (frozen yogurt!) with our youth group... and it did NOT disappoint. Sooo many yummy flavors to choose from.
Speaking of amazing things... time for June's Favorite Things!! Kbuuutseriously, how is it almost July already?!!?
June had a lot to live up too...you know, seeing as May was the best month ever. Although I do have to say, LOTS of fun happened in June. Like...
1. Our honeymoon! We were there for the end of May to the beginning of June. Woo!
2. Finding this ahhh-mazing mascara.
3. Finding out this girl is moving a bazillion times closer to Cincy! Still not exactly next door, but definitely closer than the sunshine state!
4. Being a huge part of Sports Camp with my church. I had to get hoisted onto this giant trailer (like 20+ feet in the air) and take some fun pics...so while I was up there I thought, why not a shameless selfie?!
5. This sunset from last night.
6.Winning a blog giveaway AND a mini iPad last month. Seriously, I want to buy a lotto ticket.
7. This book. I'll be talking about our debt story later next week, and also what we're doing to pay off thousands of dollars as quickly as possible.

8. Being married. That counts, right? It's amazing, I tell ya.
Linking up today with my girl Ashley...cannot wait for my weekend to get started.
Have a good one!!

HONEYMOON: PART 3

If you haven't been caught up on my honeymoon yet, I'd suggest clicking this and this! You can oogle over the bluest water your eyes will ever see!

I forgot to mention yesterday that before we went back to our room on our 4th evening to get some much needed sleep, we saw the resorts version of a circus. I saw no wild animals, which was obviously a bummer  but it ended up being a blast. Tiny men stuffing themselves in boxes, psycho's balancing on shoe shelves that are on top of a rolling log...I almost had an anxiety attack watching, but it was a blast.

Friday was a day of fun...but sadly I didn't take many pictures during the day. We had plans to go to Coco Bongo, a nightlife spot in Mexico that puts on shows and reenactments of top selling movies (Phantom of the Opera, Batman, Spiderman, Impersonators of Katy Perry, Beyonce, Madonna and of course Michael Jackson!), and some fun dancing in between acts.

So we got ready and headed out.

Self tiiiimer, woops. We forgot it was on "burst" mode :) please excuse our room service from the previous night. We were hungry fools.

BUT for real...doesn't he clean up nice? ;)

This is one of my favorite dresses but I never have a chance to wear it... so I knew this would be the perfect night for it now that I finally wasn't a see through vampire anymore.

It was SO much fun...and unfortunately I didn't take my giant DSLR with me, cause you know...I didn't exactly want five additional pounds on my shoulder all night. So, I took my small point and shoot with me and unfortunately, it won't let me upload them to this computer. Stupid, huh? So that is a problem I'll figure out another day. My iPhone pictures will just have to suffice!

Katy Perry! ;)

The next day began a nearby tropical storm in Cancun...so after a pretty late night out the previous night, we slept in...and we slept in good. Seriously...like 10AM. We peeled ourselves out of bed only a few times that day, both times to go get bacon and donuts. Then we heard the ceiling inside the giant lobby fell through because of the storm...so some resort-events were cancelled...which led us to watch Monsters, Inc and Harry Potter in bed...and yes, order more room service. Yep...that is an extra giant plate of fries there in the back that you see. Don't judge me on my own blog, thanks.

Then the power went out....and we had to use my phone as a flashlight for about 20 minutes.

Then our room had some leakage!

But we made the most of it with our movies and fries... :) "there is always tomorrow" we said.

& "tomorrow" proved to be very awesome, indeed. SUNSHINE FOR DAYS! Good thing, too...since it was our last full day in Mexico!

Oh hey favorite pool of all time.
Like I said in my first post...the "entertainment" team at the resosrt was a blast. ALWAYS had fun games, zumba, volleyball, etc, going on. So when we heard "balloon dodgeball" we couldn't get into the pool fast enough!

It was intense...they filled normal sized balloons about 1/8 of the way with water...so they flew like CRAZY! It was amazing...and I definitely got slapped in the face 9ish times.

That evening, we decided to spend it on the beach...walking hand in hand, and snapping some more pictures (duh). We took about 50, but here are a few of my favorites.

There you have it friends...our amazing honeymoon wrapped up into three little posts.
Thanks for being so patient with me...can't wait to recap the week of my wedding, rehearsal dinner and all that jazz! You all are the best readers EVAAAA.

HONEYMOON: PART 2

If you missed my first honeymoon recap, you can go here! Yesterday, I recapped the day after our wedding in Cincy, and then the first two days of our honeymoon in the beautiful city of Riviera Maya in Mexico. So today, I'm continuing that, with the next two days in paradise. It gets even better!

Moving onto day 3... we had another beautiful day so we did what any normal, sane human being would do...spent it poolside.

Literally, alll daayyy {Erin} ;)
Then it was time for dinner. So we dolled ourselves up and went out! Not before snapping some fun pictures, of course.

I interrupt this regularly scheduled post, to answer a quick question a couple of you have had for me lately! What kind of mascara have I been using? It's Maybelline Rocket Volum Express...comes in a purple tube. If you buy ONE thing this month, make it this!

aaaand we're back!
We went to that asian restaurant again...woops! It was beautiful, they had a small pond surrounding the restaurant with tons of fish in it and they had big fountains all over the place. The hostess at this place gave us new marriage advice EVERY time we came in, we loved him!

We stuffed ourselves so full that when we got back we went right to bed. But we took a few pictures of the honeymoon sign they posted while we were at dinner! I wanted to steal it...but was afraid they'd charge me some crazy amount for it.

Next morning, Caleb spontaneously decides to sign us up on a bike tour to go into the city. I said I didn't really feel like it and that I wanted to lounge on the ocean. I'm SO glad he made me go! This was a HIGHLIGHT of our trip & I'm so thankful Caleb had this bright idea.

I know yesterday I said the ocean at our resort was the bluest water I'd ever seen...but this truly WAS! We made two pit stops, both being beaches. That makes me one happy happy girl!

Sweet vests, right??

Caleb and I decided right there that the next time we go to Mexico we're staying on this private beach. No questions ;)

We got back on our bikes, and made the trek up to the next beach. Let me just say, that did NOT disappoint.

Like, are you kidding me? How beautiful can this ocean really be? See those waves out there? Oh no big deal, just a giant sand bar with a colorful coral reef alongside it.

This was the last standing monument that the Europeans weren't able to knock down when they invaded Mexico so many years ago. Today, they keep the area crazy secure with military covering all sides of the entrance into this beach. It was insane, but so cool to see them protect something they hold so dear.

Heeeey handsome.

Sorry I'm not sorry for an overload of blue ocean pictures!

There was a huge fishing pier so we walked to the end of it, and it was then that we realized just how badly that tower was really leaning! It's pretty impressive that its even still standing!

We couldn't resist! & yes, these will both end up on canvases.

Our tour guide told us we could have 30 minutes to explore the stores, so we walked around for a bit!

We got a crap ton of stuff, random souveniers for ourselves and friends...and got a sweet "package deal", well it was the PERFECT time for Caleb to remember that we ran out of sunscreen at the resort (that we refused to pay $28/bottle for in the gift shop on-site) so he wanted to search. So, my husband left me in Mexico. We had TWO minutes left on our "30 minute free walk"...and I was terrified they'd leave him behind. Luckily, our guide, Orlando made a big joke out of it and Caleb showed up 7 minutes late!

So while I waited, I snapped some pictures of some fish that you could literally see straight through!

After our bike tour we went back to the resort, grabbed our lunch...and spent the day exploring our resort. It rained a bit this day...so we ordered a crap ton of room service food & watched movies. It was glorious.

More on our evening and the rest of our incredible trip to come this week!
