Favorite moments of 2014.

I know I sound like a broken record but this year has absolutely flown! I mean, tomorrow is New Years Eve!!!! So much has happened this year and I wanted to recap a few of my favorite moments!

-We rang in the new year with a bunch of friends Downtown, watching a surprise proposal for one of my best friends, Angie (who is getting married TOMORROW!!!), and I'm a Bridesmaid!!

-Stood by one of my best gals, Becca, as she said her vows!
-Made my first real meal (that didn't just include adding-water) for dinner.
-Celebrated our first V-day together as husband & wife by driving through a snow storm just for a meal at Texas Roadhouse and a few Disney movies!

-Shot our FIRST wedding under Innovatory Photography...and killed it! ;)
-MET BECKY and finally ran 5 miles straight with her!!

-Celebrated my Great Grandma's 84th birthday and took her to her favorite place, Frisch's.
-Snuck away for a vacation to Punta Cana with our best friends for a week!!

-Ran my first half marathon...it was painful!!
-Caleb and I were both in the bridal party of my Dad's wedding!

-Celebrated our FIRST anniversary as a married couple!! Took some fun photos (and recreated some) at the church where we spent our entire wedding day!

-Spent the day on the lake with Caleb's family...tubing, swimming, and eating way too much!

-Spent a whole week in Hilton Head, in the same place where we got engaged!
-Celebrated my 23rd birthday multiple times (One Republic concert & my very own Mexican fiesta)
-Caleb and I "cat-sat" our friends cat named Loki.

-Finally took the plunge and went brunette (my natural color)!!

-Found out my mom was moving back home from Hawaii!
-Finally got a joint checking account and bought our first (used) car!!!

-Had a photo shoot of us done by our good friends, Reese + Renee!
-Celebrated Caleb's 26th birthday at the Bengals game!

-My mom came home!!!!!
-Spent our second holiday season together as husband and wife, and it rocked!
-Scheduled just under 30 weddings for next year. AHH!

Tonight is the rehearsal dinner for two of our friends, Angie + Tyler. We couldn't be more excited for them, and tomorrow is their big day!!! I'm so thankful she chose me to be one of the ladies to stand by her as she says those precious vows. I'm sure I'll have a TON of photos to share in a few days, but I'm going to take a little break for a couple days from this little space of mine.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Stay safe!

Tidbits from "christmas break"

Wow. I can't even begin to describe how amazing this break from work has been for my soul. With the two or three other Christmas celebrations we had after last weeks post, I'm feeling so incredible thankful, and tired! I could go on and on about all the gifts we received, all the calories that were consumed and all the plans that we made, but I'll just give you the play by play via pictures.

We started Christmas Eve with an amazing church service, and a Starbucks trip with Caleb's parents!

We spent Christmas Eve evening with my Dad's side of the family, just like usual. It was a blast!

I just love how red and glittery everything is!! Its truly the best time of year.

Our sweet Great Grandma Agnes!

We started our own little tradition last year of giving each other one "smaller" gift on Christmas Eve and his gift to me did NOT disappoint! I was so excited!

My brother stayed over for a while, then we put in Elf and fell asleep on the couch before finally going to bed. Then we woke up and celebrated our second christmas together! I had a few fun things up my sleeve for Caleb and we had a great morning together. He did SUCH an awesome job with my gifts.

I know, I look gross. But I don't even care. THAT was my excited face! EEK! Finally got my hands on my very own Polaroid. I had one a few years back and it broke :( so you could say I'm more than happy to have this bad boy!!

& these...SO gorgeous.

My "big gifts" to Caleb were a record player and a hobby box (which are a TON of football cards, some autographs, etc)...he was ecstatic. Much to my surprise, the record player was his absolute favorite gift.

After we were done playing with our new gifts, we headed to my grandparents and had our traditional brunch! My grandma (with the help of my aunt) make the most incredible food for this brunch, I seriously look forward to it all year long.

(this was my favorite thing out of my stocking from Caleb...and yes, I plan on using this at work!)

My grandparents got us a Walking Dead trivia game...we're so excited!!

We spent the rest of the afternoon playing Disney trivia and napping. It was perfect. Later that evening, we saw a movie with Caleb's family! Overall, this Christmas break was a good one and I'm feeling really grateful. Hope yours was amazing and I look forward to reading all the recaps!!

A big fat WHO DEY & a Christmas celebration!

Before I bring you today's post...I just have to take a quick second and say I LOVE MY CINCINNATI BENGALS!!!!!!!!! The 'prime time curse' is broken, our boys looked (mostly) amazing out there, and we clinched a spot in the playoffs. I can breathe a little easier right now. I'm pretty much floating on air today. Bengals rocked it, Christmas will be here before we know it, and I may or may not have had a cookie for breakfast. Woo!

But back to my regularly scheduled post ;) ...like I said yesterday, we had our first Christmas celebration on Sunday. Caleb's parents are in town and we were able to get everyone together for some amazing food, fun games, and lots of awesome present-giving! Erin hosted at her house and I always love the way she decorates in the cutest ways!!

After a delicious meal, and a game of bingo... yep, you read that right... we enjoyed a few hours of talking and exchanging gifts!

I mentioned it in my Instagram yesterday but having my SIL makes the holidays just so much more fun. I mean, I get to hang out with one of my best friends AND eat all the delicious food!? My husband has some pretty awesome family. Happy Tuesday! I hope you all have lots of fun (and good food) planned for the remainder of the week!

Tis the season (for ice cream, the zoo, and friends!)

The weekend came (and went) very quickly. We were off to Columbus for the majority of the weekend...and goodness, we had the best hosts. They showed us the best time and catered to our every need, even when we didn't realize we had a "need". Friday evening once we got there, we went to dinner at a local sushi joint, then went to the famous Jeni's ice cream! You guys. It was UNREAL. I really never thought ice cream could taste so good. The employees were so sweet and I think I sampled over 7 flavors!

We spent that evening in their basement, where Andy started the most amazing, loud, crackly fire!!

The next morning, Megan took me to her favorite class at Barre 3! Holy smokes, you guys! I didn't know whether or not I was going to survive that class at one point, but I really loved it! Then we got breakfast at a local cafe, and I had some friends join me ;)

We got cleaned up, and relaxed by another fire before heading out for our fun evening at the Columbus Zoo! Luckily, Megan and Andy thought we should go early to beat the rush..and we really did! The line of cars to get in was probably almost 45 minutes long by the time we were leaving! We had SUCH a great time. Caleb and I had never been to a zoo together, so it was a blast. Laughs were had, lights were enjoyed, and ornaments were bought!

Then we ended the night with a competitive game of 'Like Minds'...complete with (you guessed it!) another fire!

How could I forget to mention their ADORABLE dog, Romeo??

Overall, we made a ton of new memories, did new things together, and had a blast with our sweet friends. Unfortunately we don't get to see each other much, but when we do, its a blast. What cracks me up the most is that we all met through mutual friends...but we clicked so well, you'd think we've known them forever! We got home Sunday morning and had ourselves an awesome time celebrating an early Christmas with Caleb's family...but I'm too worn out to recap all that fun just yet! Hope you all had an amazing weekend!!
