Tired eyes. The weekends over?

This weekend was exhausting, that's about all I can say. We're used to being busy, but this was over the top. This weekend was also a little emotional. This photo explains us perfectly right now...tired eyes:

Yes, we are EXHAUSTED today, (and still have the whole week ahead of us) but some of the images we captured this week make me so, so proud. I'm proud of us for working all weekend, I'm proud of us for producing tons of awesome images like these....

There isn't much else to show you or say about my weekend because...well, it was full of photography, and that's okay! ;) sure, I was absolutely exhausted by Sunday evening, and we didn't grab dinner until nearly 9pm, but as Caleb reminded me "sometimes you've gotta work hard to play hard", and I'm happy that this Labor day weekend? I get to enjoy WORK-FREE! I've worked every holiday weekend this year so I'm excited to take 3 full, long days off from everything. I'm pumped!

I hope your weekend was awesome...and I'll leave you with my new favorite Monday quote from one of my favorite dudes, Jon Acuff.... Monday only knocks you over if you don't knock it over first!

Random weeks are good for my soul.

The randomness of this week was crazy. We had an eventful one. Monday & Tuesday were full of photography, Wednesday was a family night, and last night? I had some me-time. I blasted super girly music through our entire apartment on my new speaker and loved every darn second. The minute Caleb got home, he flipped the switch on that...but then I forgave him when he took this goofy photo with me.

Speaking of photos... here's a little sneak peek from the engagement session I shot on Monday night. Kelsey wanted "LOTS of sunset", and I believe I delivered.

I even got to grab dinner with an old friend and her ADORABLE little babe this week!

We had my family over for dinner Wednesday and my man cooked the whole dinner, and we got our house spotless for our company! Which really came in handy since we have fantasy football tonight as well, at our home! We have a lot of family coming and we're excited to spend some time with them. This is pretty much our last "get together" in our little apartment that we've called home for over 2.5 years. It's starting to hit me that we're actually moving!!!! We've already started packing, and its getting exciting! We're so ready for this new adventure together.

This weekend we have TWO weddings, Saturday and Sunday. I know we're going to be crazy tired, but we're excited!!! Hope you all have a fun weekend!!

Confessions: Random July Edition

Confession: I'm insanely excited to see what Amazon has up their sleeve for"Prime Day"! Not that I need anything, but its always fun to look!

Confession: whenever I actually wear something to a wedding that's halfway decent AND super comfy, a mirror selfie is definitely required...
the 4 is for the 4th of July... #duh
Confession: I watched this video about 7 times last night. Chris Pratt running in high heels. Bah! Did that not just make your Wednesday!?

Confession: this bride's pair of gorgeous heels for her wedding day cost her over $200...but I can't say I blamed her.  Okay, real talk. I've never spent over $60 on a pair of shoes, but these could change my mind!

Confession: I think my husband should try out for our church's worship team to sing or play guitar. Or, just serenade me more. That'd be fine, too :)

Confession: I'm kind of obsessed with Blake Lively & she could be one of the most adorable celebrities ever.

Confession: I have a not so healthy obsession with my laptop's photobooth.

Confession: I also have an obsession with my many, many excel documents. #notsorry

Confession: Caleb and I still have not solidified our Fall vacation plans. We need a beach in our lives asap! We're going to Tennessee next week with our youth group for a youth conference, but we'd also like a week off to relax near a beach...so if you find good deals, pass them my way.

Confession: Facebook is annoying me lately. I'm mainly sticking to Instagram because its more fun to stare at this adorable hedgehog all day long...tell me you clicked that link.

Confession: I'd pay a lot of money to watch my wedding day like a fly on a wall. Beginning to end. Hands down one of the most amazing days of my life. Thanks for the photo, Erin ;)

Confession: I have no plans tonight and I fully intend to flop in some sweats the second I get home. #noshame

Enjoy your day, friends!!

Our first "double header" of the year!

In my world, a "double header" has nothing to do with baseball... but has everything to do with shooting TWO full weddings in the same weekend. Today, I took a vacation day from my day-job to shoot Dana and Brandon's wedding! I'm so excited to be able to photograph them again.

I feel like I don't show a lot of my work because I don't think Blogger does a great job with clarity (on high res. files) so I stopped posting them for the most part, but I hated that! Each one of our couples has unique stories, personalities, etc...and I want to showcase that! So here's a few shots from their engagement session I did earlier in the year. It's definitely a favorite to date, and they were just such a fun couple!

We just need all fingers crossed that this weekends weather cooperates. We're prepared for the risidual thunderstorms from "tropical storm Bill" that may come through OH/IN but, we're ready! Just praying for a little sunshine, or even overcast...that's my favorite to shoot in anyway! ;)

We also have some fun photobooth stuff planned for this wedding... wish us luck!

Have a GREAT weekend!

Another jam packed (insanely fun) weekend!

This weekend was going to be jam packed...that much I knew, and sometimes that can stress me out before the weekend even begins. However, we enjoyed every last stinkin second!! Friday evening was kinda stressful (and annoying - boo taxes), but the rest of the weekend proved to be amazing!

We got to the wedding Saturday, turns out I knew a couple of the bridesmaids! The group was a blast to work with all day and let us go outside of the box a little bit, which I always love. The whole day seriously flew by and we even managed to sneak a shot during our make-shift photo booth at the reception!

Thought I'd sneak in a few shots from their amazing day!

Sunday I had to wake up before the sun to drive to Anderson, IN for a youth conferences with a few of the teens. It was a 2.5 hour drive over, a full day of worshipping our awesome God, listening to the messages, and even playing around on the football field that the Colts practice on during the off season! No one else was around, so that was awesome!!

Sorry for the short post today, I've hardly slept any the past two nights....eating crappy on the road + staying up too late = tired eyes Monday. But I can't complain, overall the weekend was pretty amazing. I hope yours was as well!

I LOVE love.

This weekend was craziness. Caleb and I shot TWO weddings this past weekend and although we had a blast, I got really sick halfway through the second wedding on Sunday. It got pretty bad, and thankfully my husband was able to finish up the 'dancing shots' at our second wedding.

Weddings really are amazing to me. It's so fun to be able to see how different each and every wedding  is and how each couple can bring their own unique personalities to their big days!

What's even more fun is when WE get to enjoy weddings, too...and we kind of pretend its a "free date night". I mean, we get dinner, cake, AND get to enjoy the dance floor a bit, too. We ended up chatting with the videographer and he said he thought it was "cute how naive and happy we acted at these weddings" and that after we've done over 100 we'd get over that initial joy...HA! I didn't let it offend me, because you know what? He was kinda grumpy, and that must just stink to have that kind of attitude, because we truly had a blast!

I love love. Happy Tuesday, friends!

This second gig rocks.

Okay, so lets be honest...working 14 hours on a Saturday isn't my normal weekend, but I shot one of the cutest weddings I'd ever seen.

Yes, I was exhausted by midnight. Yes, I was dehydrated, & YES, my feet were insanely sore... but I had a really great time with this entire bridal party. Even better than that? I got to have my husband with me for the majority of the day. I love when I happen to look up from my camera during the couples vows, and I get to look across the room and see his cute face (#sappypost).

What's even cooler is that he's learning so much about photography, and truly enjoying it. It's fun getting to hang out with him all day, doing something we love! Then the two of us get to goof off like crazy at the reception and tell all the guests on the dance floor that we have the best jobs ever.
Yeaahh, I realize my dress and camera strap are matching... #awkward

and a personal favorite from their day...

Oh and can I just brag on my husband real quick? He seriously impressed me yesterday. Not that I don't normally think he's talented...but he fed me great shot ideas all evening and took some stunning pictures...all while looking extremely handsome. A multi-tasker, that one ;)

Want to know what makes my heart fill with serious joy?! When I see clients photos that I took on display :) just makes me so happy!

Happy Monday friends, enjoy your day!

One final hoorah!

You thought the wedding posts were over? Ohhhh my. How wrong you were. Just this once!

But promise this will be a short one. It's our photo booth! I loved how our photographers didn't have a backdrop...they just used what they had. They brought some lights and made that sunset look even BETTER.

This was one of our photographers, Amanda. I have loved getting to know her!
My dad, his fiance, and his parents!
My MOH and her fun family!
Two of my best friends!
Blackford (our groomsmen) and my mom!

I just love this picture because its EVERY single one of Caleb's roommates from college. They are amazing friends and we were SO happy that every single one of them could make it.

Then they let me join in on the fun!

& then Lydia (another wife!) joined us!

Alex & Kelsey! The newlywed couple from my post yesterday!

One of my faves!
My flower girl (right) and her best friend, Allie.

The in-laws.
My nanny and mom!
and another!
little brother and his girlfriend.
One of the coolest families I know!
and for my favorites!

EVERY ONE OF MY BRIDESMAIDS! :)

My aunt, uncle, and little cousins!
our amazing pastor!

All we needed was a pitchfork.

I think I loved this so much more than a typical photo booth because it was different. We had no backdrop, only a few silly props and our goofy personalities. Some of my favorite photos from this day were captured during this time, and I will have a blast looking back at these when I'm 87 years old...hopefully still wearing silly heart glasses and fake top hats with my old husband.

Happy Tuesday, friends.
