scratch that...its ladies WEEKEND.

I've been waiting for this for a while now!

Those up there are my favorite ladies ever.

The one holding the yellow glasses in the back? That would be the beautiful Bride-to-be, Becca...and we are having an intimate bridal shower with her this weekend. I CANNOT wait to see her and some old college friends, and hang out with my besties, while embarrassing the nearly-wed ;)

Lynds, that hottie with the black mustache, is baking a cake for Becca's shower. I'm so excited, she's been taking classes and I can't wait to see what she whips up! I know its going to be delish and I'm going to have 15 thousand pictures come Monday of it!

Miss Erin, front left with the adorable face...invited me over to have the ultimate ladies night tonight. I'm bringing mountain dew, snacks, nail polish, and a chick flick of my choice...yes, were 17. I kind of love it.

My girl Angie, with the pink glasses and bow tie... is the one who got engaged on New Years Eve. I am so excited for her and can't even WAIT for her big day!!

Marie, in the red glasses, and I have been hitting up the gym 3 times a week before work...she is, without even knowing it, keeping me SO motivated. This week, the crazy Ohio weather put a damper on our Thursday morning plans but we hit the gym this morning and I'm feeling good because of it!!

Last but not least, miss Ashley, with the orange mustache ;) she recently landed herself a HUGE job in NYC with a big law firm...to say I'm extremely proud of her would be an understatement! I cannot believe how smart this gal is and can't wait to watch her become a real New Yorker!!

Weekends are way better when you get to spend them with at least a few of your favorite people!! Hope you have a great one!

If you're around Erin and I for more than a few minutes, you'll probably find out one of our little secrets......we're slightly obsessed with Katy Perry.

...slightly as in, we buy her tour tickets, make shirts, listen to her 24/7, see her movie in theater, pre-order the DVD just for a chance at an autograph, stand with cut out posters of her, sing her songs all day, stalk her twitter feed, you know... the usual.

...we wish we were rich so we could buy a meet & greet.

Erin was so amazing and gave me two tickets to her show for my birthday a couple years ago! So what did we do? Naturally, dedicated two nights to making our bright pink cupcake t-shirts for it. We got their early to party it up with her staff...and I may or may not have won a free T shirt (that I sleep in a lot...and wear to the grocery store...and, well, you get the point...).

We even talked about things we could sell just to afford tickets to her tour.....

Some would call us crazy, we call it dedication ;)

Bottom line...we love her.

...but this post isn't ALL about Katy Perry, why we love her (and why we think she should invite us up on stage this summer to dance with her....), its also about one of my favorite friendships!

I don't know how I got so lucky to have the coolest sister in law, but goodness I owe God a big one. He blessed me with another incredible friend that I can chat with at all hours of the night, drink mountain dew with, and laugh hysterically for hours with. I swear, she and I can talk about nothing all night and we will have the time of our lives. Which is why I'm more than pumped that we get to have a MUCH NEEDED ladies night tomorrow. Did I mention that includes chick flicks, a possible music video in the making, singing at the top of our lungs, some serious venting, and drinking unlimited mountain dew? Well, it does...and yeah, maybe we sound like were 18, but that's fine! I can't wait...and yes, KP's "Part of Me" will be in the DVD player all night.

Is it tomorrow yet!? Hoping all my ladies out there have a "ladies night" on the calendar soon!! They are good for the soul!

I am over the moon with excitement.

I have had NO time to even get on my computer this weekend.

Which was amazing.

Friday night Caleb and I spent relaxing, and grabbing some chick fil a (I think my wedding diet went out the window like 2 weeks ago, whoops!)

Saturday morning, I hung out with Caleb for a bit cleaning the apartment. Then Saturday afternoon was my BACHELORETTE party. I think I'm going to do a separate post on this entirely because there are too many funny moments to relive (half of which will not be shared), haha! 

But here are a few snippets from my weekend through the life of my iPhone...

Although, I won't dive into details just yet; my bridesmaids made this day PERFECT for me. Seriously. It was so fun, and all my best friends were with me to celebrate my "last fling before the ring" ;) I can't thank each of these girls enough for their roles in my life...my best friends, my sisters, my LADIIIESSS! Although many parts of this night were embarrassing, and I was mortified, I had the best time & if I could go back I'd do it all again... embarrassing stuff & all ;)

Moving on to a more serious matter.

Guys.

My mom came home from Hawaii for my wedding. We weren't sure if she was going to be able to make it, and Thursday morning I got a text from her telling me she finally scored a plane ticket...and she will be here ALL! WEEK! If you didn't read this post, this will give you some background on this topic.

Long story short - my mom went on vacation to Hawaii in February of 2012, and decided not to come back. So, it had been nearly a year and 4 months since I'd seen her. Yesterday I pulled in my driveway after church, and she was knocking on the window from my bedroom...

My eyes welled up into tears and I couldn't hold it together. I had prayed every morning about how to handle this, but knew that everything would be fine. We hugged, jumped up and down, and cried some more. It was awesome. I've missed my momma.

We had my aunt and uncle over, and my little cousins, and my grandparents cooked on the grill. It was such an amazing day spent with family, especially since its my last weekend living at home. Ahh, bittersweet.

There are so many emotions I am feeling this week. All happy, of course. Still though, I know this week is going to FLY BY!

Mondays rock...

...said no one ever.

However, this one is going to be fun. I'm starting my morning out at the office before 7:30 A.M... I know, I'm just overloaded with work and hate staying crazy late. BUT -- Caleb and I are starting Insanity back up after a week long break due to his knee injury. My man is ALL better... that is in fact, AFTER I have a healthy dinner with the ladies from work to celebrate a recent hire, a birthday, AND a "going away" dinner for my MIL-to-be.

What? I never told you I worked with my fiance's mom? Oops. Well, I do. Its actually because of her I have my job that was supposed to just be "temp" that turned into a full-time career. Yay!

So why the going away dinner, you ask? Well, Caleb's father recently accepted a position in Arkansas with a new company, and has already moved down there to start his new journey. We are so excited for him, but will miss him greatly. While he is down there, his wife (Caleb's momma) is staying up here prepping the house to sell, and her last day of work is quickly approaching. Hence, the going away dinner.

I hope all of your weekends were as fun as mine! Friday night I met up with most of the women in Caleb's family, and a couple from mine for a fun time at our favorite local Mexican restaurant for some fun! After, we met up at one of their houses and told way too many embarrassing stories and shared a million and a half laughs.

Saturday. was. a. freaking. blast! I took two of my bridesmaids out (Erin & Marie) and they BOTH said "YES" to their bridesmaid dresses! YAY!!! They will both look stunning in their dresses, and they can TOTALLY wear them again.

Not sure if I've told you all or not... but our wedding is going to be very laid back and fun (if I do say so myself!), meaning that the wardrobe will also be just that. I wanted my girls to be comfortable in their dresses, no satin allowed, hehe. So, we went with the non-traditional route. One of my girls found her dress at Forever 21 (I know right?!), another was at a local store in Dayton, and these two found their adorable flow-y chiffon dresses at David's Bridal. I absolutely cannot wait to see it all pulled together on my big day.

The men will be in grey and light pink vests, my girls in various shades of nude, blush pink, and champagne. I really can't wait to see the end result!

Moving on to Sunday... after church, it was full of absolutely nothing. JUST HOW I LIKE IT!

My ladies: Part 1

Happy Monday, all! Its Christmas Eve. I have the day off (woop woop!), and I will be opening presents and eating dinner with my dad's side of the family like we do every year. I can't wait to spend some fun time with them, and then go to our church's Christmas Eve service in the evening! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!! Now.... where was I? Oh yeah, my ladies! ;)

With this wedding quickly approaching, I figured I should introduce you to my ladies that will be standing by my side on my big day.

No, not Kristin Wiig, but that would be cool. "Its called civil rights... this is the 90's, STOVE!" ... Without further adieu:

My MOH - Lyndsie

This beautiful gal has been my absolute best friend since she moved to my hometown in 7th grade and we ate lunch together in middle school on the daily. She'd bring her nachos lunchable every day, and I would bring my PB&J, every day. This girl has been my rock for as long as I can remember, and vise versa. Life has thrown us both some crazy curve balls and we've never failed to be each others support system. You know you've got a good friend when you have fun doing absolutely nothing together. I truly don't know where I'd be without her (I mean, she did introduce me to my future-hubby-a post on that to come) .We eat marshmallow fluff with spoons, watch White Chicks on repeat, and belt out old Hillary Duff songs like its our jobs. Couldn't be more excited for where life is taking this girl, and that she will stand by my side on one of the biggest days of my life.

My first bridesmaid: Erin

I mean, could she be any more gorgeous? This is Caleb's sister-in-law. If you've hung around here long enough you know that she is one of my best friends. We have grown so close since I met Caleb, and she truly already feels like my sister. Can't wait until its official! I know she would drop anything if I ever needed her to be there for me, and I would do the same for her. We are the biggest Katy Perry fans I know, care about football way more than the average girl, and love to get our craft on any day of the week. Speaking of crafting, the weekend before her wedding, she asked me to come over a 2 AM, and we worked on her wedding programs until the sun came up, snacking on cheez-its and looking like grease balls. Hey, isn't that what friends are for? Can't wait to recruit her for my wedding crafts within the next few months.

There will be some amazing music played at the wedding as well, if I do say so myself. That represent girl power, and you better believe those two up there will be dancing every second of the night away with me ;)
