RIGHT after my first bridal shower (it was adorable, no?) I met Caleb at our new place and we put away everything we got. I never knew I'd be so excited over a vacuum, toaster oven, plates, cutting boards, knives, etc. But woo we were on cloud 9.
Sunday we spent the entire day moving, moving...oh, and moving.
I honestly wouldn't have gotten through it without those 3 with me. I'm so incredibly blessed that mine & Caleb's best friends are family, too. What's cool about our relationship is were the "drop-anything-if-you-need-us type", and I couldn't love them any more!
Yes, we matched... we're just soulmates like that.
So the past two nights (since we moved in Sunday... and oh, PLEASE see Erin's post about it, because its exactly on point!!) Caleb and I have spent unpacking basically everything we've ever owned and some hand-me-down kitchen wear. It has been such a blast!!
Last night we skipped Insanity because we knew we needed to make a serious dent in the boxes if Caleb wanted to move in by this weekend. We were so pumped...headed over, and realized, crap...there is no food here. SO we headed over to Wendy's... sick. What I wanted to do was order a frosty and fries for dinner but realized I should be good...sooo I ordered a salad. & it was pretty tasty!
So we took it back to our new place and Caleb said; "THIS IS OUR FIRST MEAL IN OUR NEW PLACE!!!" and you know I had to snap a pic. We were SO excited.
I made us some
scrap place mats, decided to throw the fries out anyway, and life was good.
It's been so cool going through Caleb's life in boxes and seeing things I've never seen, like an old plastic box full of hot wheels that said in scribbled cursive; "my, my, mine! Don't tuch" how cute was he?...and picking up on habits I didn't know he had. Don't judge me...but I may have teared up when he smiled, breathed a sigh of relief and said, this is our life.
Have I mentioned I love that man!?
