What I'm excited about.

I really hate the whole "wishing for the weekend" mentality. I do try my best to enjoy each moment for what it is, and stop wishing time away. Life goes too fast as it is. However, today can't go fast enough. I get to go to the TNF Bengals game tonight!! I definitely got what I asked for in this chilly Fall weather, and being down by the river tonight will mean I need to bundle up, I'm sure!

My Bengals NEED to win tonight to gain momentum and head into the next few weeks with more motivation to win! This needs to be the year we make it past round 1 of playoffs!

I'm really hoping that Caleb and I can make it to a game together this year! We always try to at least once a season. Throwback to 2 years ago, my mans beard was killin it.

Other things I'm excited about:

-Doing Insanity 3 days in a row this week. Guys, I can do real push ups now...and its only been two weeks!

-I shredded nearly a whole block of cheese last night so you know what that meant? FLUFFY shredded cheese with our tacos...not the bagged stuff. Thanks to my aunt, for the tip! But really, cheese is always good, I'm not picky ;)

-Actually having a free weekend and getting to do whatever we want with our time. As much as we love celebrating our couples and photographing their day, we need time for us, too! So I'm really glad we're making that happen all. weekend. long!

-National coffee day. Although I'm more like "gimme a splash of coffee with my vanilla creamer" kinda gal, I'll definitely partake!

-Vacation being 23 days away! Eek!

-Sweater weather is finally among us. I knew I succeeded with my outfit when a co worker called me "fall-tastic" this morning.

-Going to a real farm this weekend (IF it doesn't rain - fingers crossed) to pick pumpkins and buy some cider and celebrate the chilly weather!

-The new show "This Is Us". Thank goodness for Hulu, Caleb and I watched the pilot episode and we both loved it. Oh man, so many tears. It's SUCH a great show! It reminded me a lot of Parenthood with all the different family dynamics.

Happy Friday! I've had quite the week, and I'm excited to say I've kept up on my #4weeksfit goals! How is everyone else doing?? Although this week was long, I'd have to say the highlight of it was when I got to go to a women's career luncheon for work! We got there and I find out that Viola Davis is the keynote speaker. I literally couldn't contain my excitement! I love her! If you aren't one to know many names... you'll know she played Aibileen in THE HELP!

She pretty much told us all her life story. I learned so much about her, and have so much respect for her. After her speech, the luncheon was over. A few of my co workers told me to come up with them to get a picture OF her....to which I said "lets try to get one WITH her!", then they laughed at me like yeah, oookay Kayla, good luck with that ;)

Guess who made it happen!?! ME!

To say I was star struck was an understatement. I'm such a weirdo...and I didn't just ask her for a picture with her, I asked her for a selfie... and I insisted (instead of using the stairs to get on stage like a normal person), that I'd hoist myself onto the stage backwards, all while wearing a dress, and tell her how excited I was to meet her...without telling her my name. Not that she probably cared, but still...omg! All I could think the entire time was "you is KIND, you is SMART, you is IMPORTANT"...and as cheesy as that sounds, there have been moments in my life I've had to repeat that to myself when I felt lonely or hurt.

She went through so much, came through extreme poverty, and found our amazing God at the end of it. Her story brought me to tears, made me laugh, and I left happier than I did coming in. I love people who leave that kind of impact on you.

Now, if only I could get a selfie with Katy Perry or Jennifer Aniston next... ;)

TODAY IS GOOD!

I am absolutely flooded with work here at the office so I am going to make this a short post.

Caleb charged up his video camera last night, I charged up my camera so we can document the place and our excited reactions!... and we are prepared to sign the lease and get our keys TONIGHT! This is the first time we'll even see our apartment... as they were JUST built and we have only seen a one bedroom one bath... so basically this is one huge surprise! & I couldn't be more pumped!

This was a picture taken on vacation back from 2011 in Hilton Head... we'll be more excited to see our apartment than....

We then plan on doing Insanity, cleaning back up and taking each other out on a hot date. Woo!
