Our Spring List - Happy April!

I feel like I'm usually pretty creative, but I just couldn't come up with anything clever enough for today to trick you guys ;) so instead... I'll be finding ways to trick my husband. It's not even 8AM and he's already pulled a fast one on me ;) feel free to send any harmless, silly jokes my way today!

Moving on! Okay! Spring is officially here, and this week it truly feels like it. Warm weather, a little rain here and there, and beautiful clouds in the sky. We've spent a lot of time with my mom and brother lately and its been a blast. Last night we took a long walk around our subdivision and it got me thinking about what else I'd like to do this season...

-Attend some outdoor games. Caleb starts softball soon with a league through his work and its so fun to pay for a cheap hot dog and watch my man tear it up on the field. Also? I'm hoping we can squeeze in some Reds games.

-Walks after dinner. That's my favorite tradition. We have so much fun, AND we burn calories!
My stud during our walk last night.
-Take a trip to the Nature Center. It's a special place for Caleb and I, and we haven't been back in years. It's miles upon miles of woods/trails for walkers, hikers, joggers, etc. & the gorgeous views are just a bonus.

-Bake some cupcakes. Not just any cupcakes...but fruity pebble cupcakes. Yes, you read that right. Caleb got way too excited when I showed him the link, so its gotta happen!

-Buy fresh flowers, at least once. I know, they can be expensive, but there is something SO magical about coming home to a fresh bouquet of flowers on the table. Totally brightens up our living area, too!
Fresh blooms on a tree from our walk last night! Love signs of Spring!
-Finish a couple books. I absolutely love to read and the past year or so its totally taken a backseat in my life, after that used book sale, we have been reading a lot more so I'm hoping to complete a few!

-Complete another half marathon. It's the first weekend in May, keeping my fingers crossed!

-Enjoy a sunset on our back patio. We never sit out there, and its a gorgeous view with the lake! It's time to take advantage!!

Those are just a FEW of the things I really want to fit in this season. What are some things YOU looking forward to squeezing in this time of year?

  1. Little League starts in 3 weeks and I can't wait! Leah and I (well, mostly me) are going to work on sprucing up the backyard once the boys finish spring break.

    Happy Wednesday!

  3. You know what I love about your list? Most of it is cheap or free! It's the simple things, girl. I totally agree. Also, I mentioned this to Erin a while ago, but we should totally do a Reds game together! Blogger girls + Reds = YAY!

  4. It still hasn't been quite warm enough here for our nightly walks to start. But I'm so excited to get out and walk around- our dog loves it too when we finally go out and take more walks!

And baseball season...I am SO EXCITED. We're going to opening days and it's in less than 2 weeks.

  5. LOVE being able to take evening walks now that it's getting warmer AND staying lighter longer. I almost bought flowers at Kroger yesterday... now I wish I had ;)

  8. Nothing beats a gorgeous evening watching a softball game. My bestie and I did that a lot during the summer but since she's moved away I haven't been back since. I miss it. I think you might even be able to combine catching a sunset on your back patio with reading a couple of books. I hope to spend some time reading outside now that the weather is getting nicer. Need to be soaking up some vitamin D when I can!
