My Fall bucket list...that I WILL complete!

I (along with the rest of blogland) am so happy its October. Although Caleb and I have a pretty jam packed schedule the next 3 weekends, we're ready for them. In the midst of all the craziness that this month brings, I'm excited to create (and hopefully achieve) all the things on my Fall bucket list.

Oh, you mean no one has ever made a Fall bucket list? *insert sarcasm* I know, but I feel like if I'm not intentional with this list, none of it will happen. SO, in true blogger fashion, I'm writing a post on it.

Drink fresh apple cider.
So I've never had a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. I KNOW, what the what!?? ;) I just love the taste of warm apple cider so much I can't stray away from it! When I was young my family and I would always go to this cute farm called "Rousters Apple Farm", and they have since shut down...so I'm determined to find a spot in Cincy where I can get myself some!!

Have a silly, ridiculous, selfie filled Fall photo shoot.
I don't even care if Caleb and I have to take a dang tripod out in the street that we find with a ton of leaves, we need to get out and use our cameras more for personal use. I think BECAUSE I shoot weddings, sometimes I forget to document my own life with my DSLR. I stick w/ my phone, etc...which in some cases is fine, but I want to get better about it. There are SO many beautiful trees already changing in our complex, leaves falling, etc. We just gotta make it happen!
Cropped photo from our engagement shoot (2012)
Carve pumpkins.
Caleb and I have NEVER done this together. We talk about it every year, yet just never go out and buy them. So we decided that we would...even if its on Halloween!

Celebrate Caleb's golden birthday.
He will be 26 on the 26th, guys! I'm so excited and can't wait to celebrate with him!

Make s'mores.
Like, around a REAL fire. No microwave stuff (although, that's an acceptable option when you're desperate). I miss bonfires...and thankfully my church is putting on a Fall hangout at a local campground and we are so excited for all the chili/s'mores we can eat!!

Play in the leaves.
Yeah, I'm 4 years old. But its literally the best thing ever. Just throw a few in the air, you'll see.

Shoot an entirely rustic, Fall themed wedding.
I know this is already planned, but I am so out of my mind excited for this day. I get to shoot a wedding back in our college town of Mount Vernon next Friday and its a ton of friends from school. Not only will it be so fun to see a bunch of old friends, but to also get to shoot their big day? I'm pumped! They are having a burger bar, s'mores, mini-movies playing, and I'm hopeful there are huge piles of leaves around for them to play in ;)

Take more walks.
That's one of our favorite things to do...but I'm determined to soak up this last full month of extra daylight. I am going to miss it so much come November...so I want to make the absolute most out of these late nights!!

Bake a REAL apple pie (possibly with my mom/grandma)!
I've never done this...and I think it would be so much fun. I'm talkin from SCRATCH, y'all ;) any of you ever done this? If so, please share the recipe!!

Any fun ideas I left off my list?!! Please add to it below...I REALLY want to make the most of this Fall!!! :) what's on your list??

(Linking up with one of my favorites, Shanna!!)

  2. I love making apple pie from scratch. Well, all pies really. I think pie is my favorite. Anyway, this recipe (http://katieballa.blogspot.com/2009/10/trust-me-you-want-my-apple-pie-recipe.html) is great. It's the one I used the first time I made pie from scratch and no other one has beat it yet.

  4. Keith had never carved pumpkins until we met and he had a blast. We might this year, if we have time. I also can't wait to go apple picking BC fresh apples are the best for pies!

  9. omgosh, you two are so freakin cute, and I want to do everything on your list!! I can't wait for apple picking (aka my excuse to gorge myself on apple cider and apple cider donuts. YUM!) and don't worry, I've never had the "PSL" and I don't plan on it, because I just love the taste of apple cider!!! ok, I'm abusing the exclamation points now.
Anyway, I'm just stopping by from Because Shanna Said So :)

  10. Yall are seriously the cutest thing ever. hahaha. We love our photographer, but she just had a new baby and doesn't have time to do our pictures! We got a tripod with our Nikon D3100, and I bought a wireless shutter remote so we can take our own fall pictures. hahaha. ;)

  12. I love love love this list! Girlfriend... We have got to get ya on the pumpkin carving train. It's the best! Right after throwing leaves in the air lol!

  13. You're not alone w/ the PSL girlfriend... I've never had one either! No desire too either! Fresh apple cider... yum!!

  14. I've never had a pumpkin spice latte, either! I'm just not a coffee girl, so yuck. If you're looking for a great little farm to get some fresh apple cider, I highly recommend Iron's Fruit Farm in Lebanon. The apple fritters and cinnamon-cider donuts are TO DIE FOR and it's the cutest little place. It's also less than a mile from my parents' house, so I might be biased, but it's really great! Also, you absolutely MUST carve pumpkins. Wheat and I did it last year and I got so uptight and stressed out. I think I'm a bit of a perfectionist...

  15. I'm all about the apple-y stuff OVER pumpkin stuff anyway! I've been resisting the urge to purchase 8 gallons of the cider at Kroger every time I go by lol!

  16. Andddd, I was coming here to also recommend Iron's Fruit Farm. haha. It's pretty cute, but maybe Brittany and I just kind of love our hometown? The cinnamon cider donuts are pretty extreme though. Pumpkin Spice lattes do not entice me one bit. I think I'm the only girl in the world who doesn't like pumpkin flavor. Oh well? Their salted caramel mocha is pretty good though, and I think that's a new fall drink!

  17. Sounds like you hit it all with your list! I hope you have some nice weather this fall so you can really enjoy those outdoor activities you have on your list.

  18. I was about to write a Fall Bucket List myself...now I think I will just steal yours :) Yes to it all!
Shooting a wedding in MV?! You are seriously about 30 minutes from me! We head down there for dinner a lot at Allison's Finer Diner. If you get to go somewhere to grab a bite, you won't be sorry there! The homemade chips with alfredo drizzed on them with blue cheese crumbles are AMAZING!!! I don't even like blue cheese either! Lol!

  19. Such a fabulous list! You are making me want to put together something similar. Oh and my husband and I have never carved pumpkins together either. Definitely a fall-must do!

  30. Great list!! Love that engagement photo! Our neighbor just went apple picking yesterday and gave us a huge bag of apples so I bought all the ingredients to bake an apple pie today! I'm letting the hubbs make it. The first 4 years of marriage he was always bragging about how delicious his pies were, but I had never tasted one! So, finally last summer he made one, and it was delicious! He learned from his grandmothers growing up, so he's quite proud. (hehe, too cute!) I'll post the recipe later this week. (if it's delicious!)

  31. Okay, so my entire group of friends doesn't believe golden birthdays is a thing! It's crazy. I'm happy to see there are other people out there who appreciate and recognize golden birthdays :)
