A crazy wedding filled weekend!

This is where I tell you all about my weekend...are bullet points fine? Cool.

-Friday, Caleb and I went to a wedding for a high school friend of mine. It was awesome to see a few old faces, I love my friends!

-Saturday, we had a wedding to shoot. The bride really wanted a few shots at a higher angle, and as I'm the shortest person you'll probably ever meet, Caleb volunteered to put me on his shoulders. I don't think that's ever happened in our relationship... we just took trust to a whole new level. ;) The Bride started crying from laughter at how terrified I was of "breaking" my husband, that she snapped this shot of us. It cracks me up, but those are two REAL smiles, people. I kiiiinda love that man of mine.

-Thriller happened... "THIS IS MY JAM!!!" *Caleb steals camera from me. "...make me look decent, these will probably end up on the blog"
Focused eyes.
-This happened when "I Like Big Butts" came on. A groomsmen snagged my camera like it was his job (and I carefully put the camera strap around his neck, you never know!!) and snapped these shots of us.

-Saturday night. Unfortunately, I've been getting severe migraines again, and they aren't fun to deal with. It's to the point that I don't want to open my eyes, or do anything at all really. I used to take medicine for them, so I'm hoping it doesn't get much worse. Feel free to send any good vibes my way!

-Sunday. Lead worship in children's church, had an impromptu Skyline date, then met this cute couple Downtown and spent some time capturing their adorable personalities for their engagement pictures. I love, love.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekends!

Behind the scenes.

Photographing a wedding is definitely intimidating at first. I mean, you're shooting (arguably) one of the most important days of this couples life...right? Well, yes... but it doesn't have to be so intimidating.

Know how we make it fun?
Taking silly pictures of each other, those little moments we have in between the couples moments.
So, I thought I'd share some of my favorite of the past few months.

Man, I'm cute.
There is just TOO much awkwardness in this photo. Ha!

This picture is just too glorious. Joe and Amanda are obviously so in love, its just unbelievably adorable...and there I am, ruining everything.

We like to eat the wedding food and maybe even snag a piece of cake if there's extra.
Take pictures in between photo booth shots.

Sometimes we can even pull away to dance on our own.

If you can't tell, we love to dance...and we love to have fun. Some people may care about making a fool of themselves, dancing alone..."raising the roof", so to speak. Not us. We live for that. ;)
Happy HUMP DAY.

Afterparty {part 3} - Dancing fools!

After the cake cutting happened...it was time for the dancing to begin.

Cue the first dance!

After that, it was time for my Dad to step in.

Framing this!
& then it was time for the mother-son dance!

....no I am not eating the marshmallow fluff straight from the jar....

Then American Woman came on, and it was time for Caleb to take off the garter!

and guess who caught it?
My little brother. Awkward? Kind of.

Then came on Lady Marmalade, and it was fate. If you can spot Lyndsie, we were having a moment.
Do you spy my 83 year old great grandmother in the purple? She's a diva. Love her!

& just like that! My MOH caught the toss bouquet. That was a really fun moment for us!

Immediately after this, the DJ opened up the dance floor for everyone. Let me say, we have some friends who LOVE to dance.

My great grandma and I gettin down! She is crazy energetic, and I love it!
I will say, these young kids know how to boogie.

This is my beautiful friend, Devin. She means SO much to me and silently reads my blog. Heehee, Hi Dev!!
After about 30 straight minutes of jumping up and down, it was time to slow it down!

& then it was time to KILL IT on the floor again. & kill it, we did.

Not taken by photographers. But such a FUN shot of me and some of our groomsmen!

& just as the night was winding down...after nearly four hours of dancing, sweat, and fun...my new sister came up to me, and we just had a moment. We cried happy tears and just hugged, we were FINALLY family. I am so thankful for this gal, and love her so much.
Happy tears!

So thankful to have married into such an amazing family.

And folks, that concludes the wedding posts. You all are troopers for sticking around for not one, not even three, but SEVEN wedding posts. Our reception was just too darn fun to smash into one blog post. Anyway, I want to thank you all for every sweet word you've said!

Our big day truly was like our own little fairy tale and I'm SO thankful for all the fun we had that day.

Linking up with one of my faves today, Miss Shanna!
