ONE MORE LOAN!

Moving brain is a real thing, guys. Something totally slipped my mind and I don't think I ever wrote about it. WE PAID OFF OUR 3RD LOAN!!!!!! We only have one more to go (although its pretty large), and this is how we feel about it...

We have been working really hard and it felt so great to wipe it out. I know that only having one more loan left to pay off will motivate us like never before. We're dedicated, have our eyes on the prize, and can't wait for what our future will look like, debt-free!!!!!

It feels so great to be married to a man who shares all my same views. Not only on politics, but when it comes to our money. Sure, we'll still have a little fun here and there, and when we do, we'll use cash! We have the same goals in mind, and know that above all else - we want to be able to bless others like CRAZY someday. So watch out loan #4, we're comin' for ya!

In other news, we're finally feeling like we're getting settled in our new place. We've even hung a few things on our wall, are doing laundry regularly again (thank goodness), and its really beginning to feel like home. Next item on our agenda? Find a reasonably priced dining room table!!

Happy Tuesday, friends!

  2. I use to use cash all the time however whenever we combined to one CC, we use that now so we can earn points for free travel. If you ever have to switch to a CC, I highly recommend the Southwest one, its how we are able to go all over :)

  7. That is SO exciting! We're hoping when we sell our rental property that we can pay off all of our credit cards - that would be so nice! Our church offered the Dave Ramsey class weekly this fall, but it falls on the same nights that I play softball. So sad - I would have really enjoyed it!

  13. Congrats on saying goodbye to loan #3!! It is an absolutely great feeling to not have debt. I can't wait until I'm back to that point with my finances. And I am so happy that you two are finally beginning to feel settled into your new place. Even though I've made my place my home I still feel like I could decorate more. I just have no idea where to start haha.

  14. Do you have a post or posts that you can share what steps you took to start saving or working down your debt? We have a handful of things we are paying off now but I would love to see/read any times that may help us push our limits a bit and become debt free sooner than later.

  18. CONGRATS!!! We're committed to the debt-free life too, and it feels so good. It's completely counter-cultural and I love that. We're trying to pay our car off and I am so excited even though it will take awhile.

  21. That's great news on tackling another loan - you should celebrate! It's a great feeling knocking loans off your plate. Don't stop believing you can just as easily knock down the next one. It can get frustrating paying these off, but as you said "eye on the prize!" Don't give up on your dreams and keep plugging away!
