Dear Friday...

Dear Friday, I am happy to see you. I've been waiting for you for a while!

Dear Sports Camp, you've made me so incredibly tired, but also so incredibly refreshed all at the same time. What a great week it was!

Dear Lauren & Brad, thanks for making our last Saturday so awesome! Your wedding was GORGEOUS and your golden hour portraits are basically my new faves. I'm so grateful when couples trust us to snag them from their reception for even 5 minutes to get more photos!

Dear today's wedding, I'm really excited or you! The bride and groom are SO SWEET and we're excited to end the night with fireworks (literally)!

Dear upcoming weekends, I am so excited to get to ENJOY YOU! We aren't used to not working and we plan on soaking in every. last. second.

Dear Maddie, thank you for being a dream to work with on Sunday. You were the most chill bride in the world, and I'm grateful you trusted us to tell your story!

Dear Nanny, I have sucked at blogging so I didn't get to write you a proper birthday post. Can we talk about how this lovely lady just turned 70?! I hope I have her genes. She is an incredible Grandmother, and if I turn out to be half the woman she is, I'll be lucky! I love you so much!

Dear Golden State Warriors, you did it!! You're the champs!!!! I was never into the NBA until about 3 years ago when Caleb really started getting into it more. I naturally picked up the team he chose and have actually come to really like a lot of the players (I'm looking at you Thompson & Green)!
via
Dear energy drinks, I freaking love you.Thank you for helping me survive this week of little sleep.

Dear Caleb, it's been a blast to watch you love on these kiddos this week. I'm thankful you're my husband, and that you're still a kid at heart, too!

I'm excited to enjoy a free weekend after the night is over. Looking forward to some fun plans with my man (and hopefully a really long nap)! Have a good one, friends!

Happy Friday!

This week was insane, and I am exhausted! Yesterday was particularly hard. Just felt like the Devil was doing his best to hit me from every angle but I'm happy that in the end I won. I switched my perspective and decided to keep a smile on my face (after a semi-breakdown in my car on my lunch break but we won't talk about that)! ;)

This week was honestly a huge blur so I really don't have much to say, but I DID want to pop  in and say HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND to my favorite momma's out there...especially these two! My Momma and my Grandmother. They are incredible.

Thank you both for raising me, and always keeping me laughing! I truly don't know what I'd do without you both. I hope you have an awesome weekend!! You deserve it!

Shout out to all my other momma-friends, too! You're all KILLIN IT and setting the bar so high! You inspire me everyday!

Caleb and I are thrilled because we have no plans this weekend, and that hardly ever happens. You better believe we're soaking it UP! Enjoy, friends!

5 things.

This was a busy week for us, and luckily the last one for a while. Even though it was a good mix of both social and adult life commitments, I'm still pretty exhausted.

Just like last week, I'm going to keep this post simple and mention 5 highlights!

1 || There is an awesome park Downtown on the river that we're at ALL. THE. TIME! A lot of our brides and grooms want to get portraits down there, and who could blame them!? It's gorgeous. What's funny is Caleb and I hardly ever go Downtown unless it's on a wedding day for work (since we're there so much already). However, we had a family session on Tuesday that we were early for so we got to actually enjoy it and we found this interactive life size piano! It was cool to get a new perspective on this huge park!

2 || Getting to hang with some people from church last night and playing with their 12 week old puppy. I may or may not have some nibble marks on my hand from her, but she was so cute, I didn't care.

3 || Realizing how QUICKLY Mpix finished/shipped our orders. I am talking NEXT DAY, people! Caleb and I photographed soccer portraits a couple weeks ago and wanted to order them ASAP so we hunkered down this week and placed all of the orders. We're super impressed with how everything turned out and will definitely be ordering from them again.

4 || Getting a free lunch. Long story short it came out different than how I ordered it, but I felt silly mentioning it to the waiter. But he must have noticed anyway, and then my bill came and the total was $3 (only having to pay for my side salad). SCORE!

5 || Thanks to the adorable, Shelby, I actually found an adorable (super inexpensive) bathing suit on Amazon so we're going to keep our fingers crossed that it arrives safely and fits correctly!

Hope you had a great week, friends! I feel like I'm finally back in my old blogging groove. Enjoy your weekend!

Whirlwind week.

Phew. I'm so glad it's Friday! This week did me IN. I've been totally off my blog game lately because every spare second I had this week to relax, that's exactly what I did! I'll be back next week with regularly scheduled posts, but for now, I'll tell you about some highlights of my week.

1. Getting a spontaneous dinner with our best friends on Tuesday! We stayed out way too late, but those are the best nights!

2. Getting back into working out. I woke up everyday before work this week to get my exercise in! The Tone It Up Bikini Series started on Monday!  I kept my eating healthy (except that I did let myself have some candy last night! Whoops, but...#balance) and I'm feeling great! I have to say, being able to come home at night and not have to worry about losing more of my evening on a workout? It's amazing.

3. Caleb and I photographed a session for my new friend, Alex! She and I met through the local creative group (Rising Tide/Tuesdays Together) that I've mentioned before! We both wanted updated pictures with our men, so we're swapping our services to help each other out! She's such a sweet girl, and we had a great time! Honestly, how gorgeous!?!?

4. The NFL Draft. Does anybody else love watching it as much as we do!?!? I honestly don't think I could ever grow tired of watching some of their reactions to getting selected. It's the sweetest! Can we also talk about those girls who KILLED it singing the National Anthem!?! I had chills everywhere!

5. Getting to take walks on my lunch break. Although yesterday sucked and I had to turn around and go right back to work. It had been storming earlier in the day, but it stopped and the sun came out. So I thought instead of staying cooped up at work, I'd get some steps in and enjoy the sunshine. Of course the second I get my gym shoes on and walk about 100 yards away it starts raining. AWESOME. However I'm thankful because most days are gorgeous like this one below!

Caleb and I have another wedding tomorrow. The bride is a total sweetheart and I'm really excited to see her again (it's been a LONG time)! The weather isn't looking very good so keep your fingers crossed for us we get some sunshine/dryness.

Have a great weekend!!

Friday, I think I love you.

I have never longed for Friday the way I did this week. I truly hate "wishing for the weekend", but lets be real, this week did me in. It was great, don't get me wrong, but WAY too much jam packed into one week. Since I loved what kept us so busy this week, but it made me super tired, I think it's time for another edition of "suck and sweet"...

Suck: not getting much sleep at all this week
Sweet: ...because you're up too late editing gorgeous sessions

Suck... working almost every night this week
Sweet: seeing Caleb interact with the kiddos and genuinely ask each of them what their names were/what positions they played, then high fiving them after they rocked their portrait time. He has the best heart, and I love that man!

Suck: that vacation is still 5 weeks away
Sweet: VACATION IS 5 WEEKS AWAY!!!!

Suck: that quality bathing suits can be so darn expensive
Sweet: on the other hand, it would probably last YEARS!

Suck: that we didn't get an ideal sunset for the engagement session I photographed on Monday
Sweet: still ending up with gorgeous images like this one. In my Facebook post I wrote "Even though we forced him to wrap her up like a Chipotle burrito, there was nothing forced about their joy during their session!" :) Lisa and John were the SWEETEST!

Suck: not doing groceries because you were too busy enjoying free time last Sunday
Sweet: using that as an excuse to buy yourself chili cheese fries for lunch

Suck: not eating dinner until nearly 9:00PM almost every night this week
Sweet: getting to eat with my husband, at least :)

Suck: having a LOT of personal stuff to get done
Sweet: having a day job (receptionist) that allows me to work on personal stuff if I need to!

Suck: that I'm still at work
Sweet: IT'S FRIDAY!

Enjoy your weekend, friends!!

Bright, sunshine-yyy day!

I couldn't be more happy about this weather! It's so warm out! I love leaving my house in the morning without a jacket! We have a wedding tomorrow and the temperature says a high of 81! So as long as we stay in the shade, we should be good to go! :)

Last week I mentioned I wanted to make a fun Spring-style treat for our small group this week...and I did it! It actually made SO MUCH I took half of them to work and of course, they were a hit. I mean, it's pretzels and chocolate - you can't go wrong!

I bought the Ghiradelli white chocolate drops, lined the outside of a paper plate with a pretzel/drop, microwaved for 40 seconds, then plopped some adorable m&m "flowers" on them. These are a little time consuming but holy cow, they were so cute!!!

Last night we had our young adult group around a fire and it was so much fun. This group of ours is different from the youth group we help with on Sunday evenings (they are all a little older at 17-24), and so there are times when I feel the message can be a little deeper than usual. So last night I spoke on how we can find a PURPOSE in our PAIN; that no season of suffering will last forever, and that God always has a plan to use our suffering in some way, for a greater purpose!

This week was a little busy, and I'm hoping after our wedding tomorrow that we can relax on Easter. We typically bounce around from place to place, but I think this Easter will be a little more low-key, and honestly, I need that!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Fri-YAY

I'm so thankful that it's Friday! We're not booked to photograph a wedding tomorrow so that means we said "yes" to ourselves and promised each other an afternoon to refresh and I'm excited to spend that time with my man doing whatever we feel like! This week was a busy (but great) one, and I've consumed more overly creamed-coffee than usual!

As most of you read my sister-in-love's blog, you know they are in the middle of packing up their lives and building a new home! Since our schedules don't really allow us to be much help in the packing department, we swung by on Monday to drop them off some dinner and hang for a bit! It was fun to be in their home one final time! Sure, we've made tons of memories in that home of theirs, but we know we're guaranteed to make a million more in their new one!!

You know we had to snag a crazy, frazzled selfie. Caleb snapped 4 and this was probably the only semi normal one ;)

The weather here in Ohio is truly insane. One day it's BEAUTIFUL and mid 70's, then the next it looks like the sky is falling and we're hearing reports of hail! I definitely took advantage of the amazing weather while we had it and took a long lunch break walk! This park smelled of nothing but fresh cut grass and I'm telling ya, I could've stayed there forever.

I'm leaving work early today to drive down in KY and photograph Caleb's cousin's wedding. We're so excited we get to witness the ceremony, because it's such a small, intimate gathering, that we wouldn't have been there otherwise! Afterwards we'll sneak away with the two of them for some portraits, then it's time for a delicious dinner! I'm excited for a night out with family!

Hope everyone has a fun weekend ahead of them! :)

Friday is here!

Happy Friday! I'm really excited because Caleb surprised me with Beauty and the Beast tickets for tonight at a new theater near us and I'm dying to get off work and have a fun date night out with my man! We had a pretty jam-packed week, full of work! Lots of Skype calls, a consultation and a photo shoot!

I tried my first vanilla iced coffee from Starbucks on Tuesday and even though I did add a little sweetener, it was AH-MAZING! I wish I didn't have such a sweet tooth, but hey, it's part of me!

Wednesday we decided to grab Jersey Mikes for dinner since 100% of their nationwide sales that day were going to local charities! The Cincinnati locations chose to support "Cancer Free Kids", and goodness, these subs are top of the line. Fresh ingredients, and a 100x better than Subway, in my opinion!

Last night I met up with a friend from high school to document her sweet babe turning 1! Rowan is too adorable, and can we talk about her strawberry hair color?!!?

I was in a Fitbit step challenge this week and man, I sucked, ha! I should know better than to accept these challenges on busy weeks...I never make time to get those extra steps in! But I'm excited for next week because it's a new week, a new month, and I'll have some new fitness related goals. With vacation being right around the corner, I've gotta whip myself into shape!

We've got a wedding to photograph tomorrow, and this couple has so much fun stuff up their sleeves! Can't wait to show you all! Have a fun weekend!

Friday, but kind of not.

Today is Friday and the office is filled with chocolates, donuts, cake pops and homemade goods. I really thought this wouldn't happen until Valentine's Day, but hey, I'm not complaining. As the Receptionist at my company, I've been thinking about "stepping up" my receptionist game (reminds me of The Office, every time) by bringing in homemade goods, planning fun little events, etc.!

Yesterday at the all-employee quarterly meeting, I was given a plaque for my 5 year work anniversary. I have to say I never thought I would be here for 5 years, but I'm super thankful I have been. It was super sweet to hear the CEO's talk about me so highly and to get the quick little "congrats" from my co workers throughout the day! Although answering phones and keeping track of the conference room schedule isn't my life calling or anything, I'm super grateful God planted me here all those years ago. I've made some really great friendships and have some awesome memories, too!

Transitioning into my other work life now, we have our first wedding of 2017 on the books tomorrow! I have to say Caleb and I are both excited, but a little nervous. This happens every year, before the first wedding, the feeling of "what if we forget how to do this" kicks in. Yet somehow we end up picking up right where we left off and enjoying ourselves and before we know it the day is over.

This week was rather uneventful...if you don't count the night I cut my finger open while cleaning a kitchen knife, ugh.

Some highlights of the week?
Ordering a pizza because who cares on a Monday.
Forgetting responsibilities and starting a new show together.
Getting more paid-time-off because I hit my 5 years at work!
Making my first cup of coffee for the year!

I hope everyone has a fun weekend ahead of them! Make it awesome!

Friyay!

Random fact for your Friday: NSync's Just Got Paid came out SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO. That's enough to make me, at 25, feel old. Anyway, I can't be the only one who sings this to themselves every other Friday when they get paid?!

This week was a good one! Caleb started working on our taxes. If you follow me on instagram you'd know that Caleb and I seem to have made a silent agreement for the rest of our lives. If I provide the dinner, he will do our taxes. If you ask me, I definitely got the better end of that deal ;)

Most evenings after work (either after a workout, or just after an exhausting day) this is what I changed into. My matching skills are on POINT.

But I think my favorite moment of all was going out to dinner with Erin & Natalie! Natalie is Caleb's cousin and I just have to say, I married into the best family. She is so incredibly sweet, and she recently got engaged!! So we wanted to take her out to celebrate - and of course we chose our favorite Mexican restaurant! We were there for HOURS. Nights like that are my favorite; just having the most random conversations over some delicious food with even better friends!

Tonight I'm heading to dinner with another group of ladies from church to celebrate a soon to be momma of 3! She is pregnant with their 3rd so we're taking her out for a "diaper dinner" (which sounds kind of funny to say out loud). The rest of the weekend will be spent unplugged with my man, and I cannot WAIT!

Hope you have a fun weekend ahead, friends! Blast some N'Sync and have yourself a dance party today!

Friday Favorites!

This week has been jam packed and last night was the first time Caleb and I really got to just "be". It felt amazing. We made a healthy dinner, we watched the latest This Is Us, and we unplugged and just talked for about an hour. It was awesome. Unplugging from the world, not even knowing what time it is, is kind of my new favorite thing.

Speaking of favorite things... lets take a look at my week so far;

Favorite Meal: (although it wasn't healthy) By far it was the Chicken Alfredo Bake I made for my family on Monday! Tonight we're making another healthy, simple sheet pan dinner but it's perfect because it can also double as our lunch for tomorrow! Leftovers rock.

Favorite Read: I'm still knee deep in Wild At Heart and it's been really great so far. Next up, finishing The Magnolia Story! I started it and then got so busy and I seem to do that a lot!

Favorite Funny: This is killing me. How true?!? "Are you dying"

Favorite victory: resisting the birthday cupcakes in the kitchen at work and sticking to my ever-exciting cheese stick instead. #smallvictories

Favorite post: (not that I found out from her blog, but...) My SIL/BIL announced their big move yesterday on her blog and we're still so stinking excited for them!! They've worked so hard and this new house is going to be incredible!

Favorite quote: DO IT SCARED. This is something that God put on my heart this week, and wouldn't you know it? This also popped up in my newsfeed this week AND was quoted at our young adult meeting by one of the girls... I hear ya loud and clear, God! ;)

Favorite person: okay so I just threw this in there so I could have a reason to put his face in my post...I'm so thankful for this stud! He's so good to me!

I hope everyone has lots of fun planned for their weekend! ENJOY!
Linking up with Amanda today!

Tone It Up {Week 2}

Happy Friday, friends! I can't tell you how happy I am it's almost the weekend! Between house repairs and endless edits, I'm excited to have a couple of days off to unwind.

Week 2 of the Tone It Up plan (#lookforlove) is almost over and I'm finally feeling a little stronger (and still very sore, which I kind of love)! I'm really happy because even though the daily moves are still insanely challenging, I somehow find a way to finish them! Last night was another 45 minutes of cardio and the video I chose had a "power move" of 10 burpees w/ a jump in a row and I was able to do 9 in a row without stopping, which was huge because last week I could only do about 5-6. It's cool to see non-scale victories, too!

Yesterday I jokingly tweeted about my quick Target adventure. I went in with a very small list of "two dumbbells, a card and a pack of gum" and that. is. all. I. got! Can you believe it?! I was in and out of there in 11 minutes. I think I deserve an award. Or maybe coffee. I'm starting to miss my morning cup of french vanilla ;)

Caleb and I stayed up way too late last night, but it was worth it because we were with family. What's even better is this morning, my day started out on the right foot by getting to visit with Erin and the cutest nephew in all the land!! :)

Caleb and I had another great week of cooking at home;
Sunday: garlic peppercorn grilled chicken breast w/ broccoli
Monday: one-pan grilled chicken breast w/ broccoli & asparagus
Tuesday: (this is the night our power went out) ham sandwich on whole wheat bread & veggies w/ hummus
Wednesday: ground turkey taco salads
Thursday: Meatballs
Friday: TBD. Hopefully something delicious like salmon. I'm craving seafood! Caleb, if you're reading this, you might have to make a Kroger trip ;)

I hope everyone has fun plans for their weekend!

Tone It Up {Week 1}

Thank goodness its Friday, even though this was only a 4 day week, it kind of seemed like a 6 day week. I'm ready for the weekend!

I corralled a few friends to help go through this 6 week fitness challenge (through Tone It Up) with me so its been fun to check in with them everyday (I'm looking at you, Becky!)!! This week's workouts had me just as sore as I was after my first half marathon, which I was NOT expecting! Not that I'm a big "runner" anymore, but that's all my muscles were really used to. I hadn't done workouts like this that were so targeted to specific areas (other than lifting), so it felt good to be trying something new.

The workouts have been so different day to day, which is definitely keeping me on my toes. Some days it's all about toning the abs, or the legs, or a rough 45 minutes of cardio. I think my favorite part though, has been tackling the different 5 moves each day! Sure, I'm exhausted and as sore as ever, but I know if I skip a day or put it off, I'll fall off track! So it feels really great to follow through on it all week!

In the past, the hard part has not been working out, but in eating clean. I can workout like crazy but then ruin it with a donut the next morning, so this New Year was really exciting as a clean slate, to do better! I know I mentioned earlier in the week, but Caleb and I have been cooking together more, and it's been so fun. Even when its something as simple as tacos, being in the kitchen together has been awesome. Here's what we had for dinner this week:
Sunday: taco salad
Monday: garlic herb chicken breast w/ asparagus
Tuesday: quinoa w/ chicken & kale
Wednesday: teriyaki shrimp w/ brown rice & fresh green beans
Thursday: lemon pepper salmon w/ asparagus & brown rice
Friday: TBD! Probably something involving shrimp because apparently we're on a shrimp kick ;)

Caleb and I both have small goals we're trying to hit, so we don't get overwhelmed with the big picture, and once we do, we'll finally have ourselves a little cheat night (which is Texas Roadhouse because duh gift cards and hellooo loaded sweet potato)!

I have to say I've slept like a rock most nights this week, I have more energy, and best of all? I haven't had a headache all week. I normally get them regularly, but cutting out a lot of the caffeine/sugar has helped, I think!

I hope you have a fun weekend planned! Enjoy, friends! :)

T.G.I.F. for real

Can I just say, TGIF?! I truly don't ever feel like its really Friday because we normally have a wedding the next day. While we love that job, Friday's never really feel like Friday's for that reason. We basically work 6 days a week, and then some with editing at night, so to have a FREE weekend now?! It makes us pretty stinkin' happy. We actually only have 1 wedding left of the year, and its not until mid December! It feels insane to look back and think we've already photographed 30 weddings this year. It's pretty awesome!

This week was a series of working, getting home, making a healthy dinner, exercising here and there, and editing my face off while Caleb kills it on the website. We're trying really hard to knock out all of this editing before November is over so once December gets here, we don't have to edit a THING and can truly just enjoy this season of relaxation and just BE. Just come home from work and cuddle after dinner while watching Elf every night... or is that just us? ;)

This week my brother turned 19 and my family came over for a spontaneous dessert date. It was fun spending some time with him!

I made the sheet pan dinner again with more broccoli this time and I just can't get over how delicious it is. This made enough for 4 meals, and is SO cheap!

Caleb and I are hosting our first "young adult" connect group through our church. It's basically a transition group for seniors in high school (up to age 24) into the "working/college world". We bought the marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers, and now we just wait to see who shows up to build community and some new friendships tonight! Although we didn't anticipate 70 degree weather late November, we're still gonna rock that bonfire and have a blast.

This weekend will be a good mix of plans and free time, and I'm so so excited about it. Free time is so good for my soul, and I'm really looking forward to the holidays! I have to admit, its getting harder and harder NOT to listen to Christmas music, dangit! Don't judge me if I play a song or two this weekend ;)

Hope everyone has a fun weekend!

Five on Fri-yay

This week was so great. Here's a few reasons why:

1 || The easiest, most delicious dinner I may have ever made. Caleb and I are BIG fans of spinach dip, so when I found this recipe I knew I had to try it. I'll admit, I get VERY intimidated when reading recipes, and I almost chose to throw this one out because it wanted me to "sear" the chicken on the stove-top, then transfer it to the oven. Ummm!?? Well, I gave it a whirl and am so glad I did! I realized my Granny's cast iron skillet (I never got to meet her, but it meant a lot when my Nanny gave it to me) would work perfectly. Caleb and I basically inhaled the entire thing.

2 || Getting to exercise my right to vote on Tuesday night.

3 || This photo a friend posted on her FB this week. The four of us were inseparable most of our childhood/teenage years, and seeing this photo just brought me back to those 8th grade sleepover days. We had way too much fun! I'm so thankful for each one of those girls! The two on the right are two of my closest friends, and were my Maid of Honor/Bridesmaid- Lyndsie and Ashley!
I'm second from the left...notice the shirt "your lips are moving but all I hear is blah, blah, blah" #mature
4|| Yesterday I was able to take part in my employer's annual community service day. It was a blast. We raked leaves and cleaned gutters for elderly/disabled families in our local area. My co worker Joyce is one of my favorite people at work, and she snapped this hilarious photo of me trying to open a leaf bag. Those things are so TALL, and I am so NOT. So, there's really no other way to get them all the way open unless you get in there like that, ha!

5|| Thank goodness for a half day today from work and a fun weekend in Nashville! Caleb and I are photographing a friends wedding tomorrow, and my bestie Lyndsie just so happens to be IN the wedding as a bridesmaid, which means she and I get a LADIES NIGHT after the wedding is over at her place. I am so excited. With her living a few states away we really don't get to see much of each other and I miss spending time w/ her so much! Throwback photo to post-ceremony CELEBRATIONS at my wedding! Love that girl!

I hope everyone has a great weekend ahead of them!

Favorites of the week!

Happy Friday! Although we do have a long wedding day ahead of us tomorrow, I've still got lots of fun planned for tonight so I'm absolutely celebrating the fact that its Friday here in the office!

Caleb and I had a great week together. We're both trying to get back to our old healthier lifestyle habits and be the best versions of ourselves. I know that sounds cheesy, but its true!  Some highlights of my week included:

1 || This gorgeous view on my run. I somehow was able to run 2 full miles holding an 11 minute pace. I know its not fast, but I haven't gone for a run in months SO I was pretty pleased! I definitely stopped to take in the beauty a few times.

2 || This amazing, simple, HEALTHY one-sheet dinner I made on Wednesday (you can find the recipe here)! I'm basically pinning every single one-sheet dinners I can find now because, duh, easy cleanup!

3|| My lunch break walks. For a while back in the warmer weather, I'd walk everyday on my lunch break. Not only did it help my step count, but it really cleared my mind and helped to lower my stress levels. For some reason there's hardly anyone ever at this park, even when the weather is gorgeous! So its definitely my favorite go-to, especially during the Fall! The trees are insane over there!

4 || Stumbling across a meme of me.

5 || Finally announcing about our big business news! We're so excited and can't thank everyone enough for the support! It means the world.

I hope everyone has some fun plans this weekend!

FRIYAY

If every Friday started out the way today did, I wouldn't be mad. I had a new shirt ready to wear (that I bought WEEKS ago with a gift card and its just been hanging in my closet), I didn't get stuck behind any school buses on my commute, and two separate co workers surprised me with treats (a cinnamon roll donut and a mountain dew...sugar coma, anyone?).

We had a great week, it was definitely busy, but it was great. Monday and Tuesday I was able to edit my face off and relax at home on the couch. We aren't "behind" on edits, but we're trying to keep up with them so we don't consume the free time we get this holiday season with editing 24/7.

Wednesday evening we watched my brother-in-law help coach his 7th grade football team. Some of these kids are crazy talented for their age! It's always fun watching family do something they really enjoy! I've always thought the two of them (Caleb and Jared) would make an amazing team. They both seriously belong on ESPN with their own show. They know more stats than you can even imagine, and NOT just about their favorite teams; but about everyone! I always picture them getting their own talk radio show one day ;)

Some other highlights of the week;

-When my man surprised me with an order of queso last night after a long day of work.

-Caleb got instagram this week. He used to have one and hadn't touched it since last January so he decided to start one up again!

-Getting my face wash order from R&F. I used Unblemish about a year and a half ago to clear up some acne and scarring I had (high school was a blast for me... I wish there was sarcasm font), and it was amazing. When I ran out, I just never reordered, so I'm really excited to start using it again!! I always just assumed adults didn't break out as they got older, but oh, how wrong I was!

-Receiving a nice thank you card in the mail unexpectedly!

-Realizing my hair appointment is 4 days away. These roots need HELP!

-Snapchat. I may or may not have googled inappropriate pick up lines and sent them to Caleb with a ridiculous filter/voice change while he was upstairs last night. I made myself cry from laughing so hard.

I hope everyone has a fun weekend planned. Tonight we've got a "fall kickoff" with our church that includes a huge bonfire, tasty chili, and good company! We're excited. Tomorrow we've got our 27th wedding of the year and we're ready to rock it!

Sweet victory!

Sweet, sweet Friday. I am so happy you are here!!!! But I'll be even happier when work is over. Caleb and I don't get wedding-free weekends very often and we plan to take full advantage of it!

This week was great. I accomplished a lot; managed to finish 3 more days of insanity, packed both of our lunches nearly every day, my Fall wardrobe is in full swing, and I enjoyed some time away from screens.

BUT! The absolutely highlight of my week was last night. My sweet friend Olivia invited me to last nights Bengals game with her. I always love Thursday Night Football, even when its not my team playing, so I couldn't scream HECK to the YES fast enough.

She and I met up after work and when Yard House told us it would be about a 2+ hour wait for food (HA) we got our steps in by walking half a mile to the nearest sushi restaurant. Local gals, Fusian is amazing! I've had it a few times but the combo I made last night was my favorite, by far!

We sat outside for about an hour just catching up on life and enjoying the city views. I'm so happy she's in Cincinnati permanently. Her husband actually worked for the Miami Dolphins prior to this move, and requested a transfer to the Bengals, so last night was even more fun because we wanted to absolutely CRUSH the Dolphins!

On our walk back to the stadium we stopped to watch the sunset and it was basically cotton candy, so that was cool.

We had such a great time watching the Dolphins get shut down! I'm so thankful she invited me to tag along! Although I didn't get home until well after midnight, it was absolutely worth it!

Final score: 22-7! It felt great to win a Prime Time game!!! WHO DEY!?!??!!

As for me this morning? I'm pouring myself a LARGE cup of coffee to get me through, but I'm just so thankful the weekend is nearly here! What are you guys up to this weekend? Anything fun?
