Florence y'all!

Took a couple days off from blogging since work has been crazy lately (both my day job as well as photography), but in all honesty I'm kind of loving how quickly my days at work are flying. So, excuse the fact that I'm recapping my weekend on a Wednesday...but here we go!

We had a lot of outdoors time this weekend. Caleb had the amazing idea to take me to the drive in on Friday and we saw Pixels + Minions. Both were good, but I personally liked Pixels more! I have to say, we witnessed something really awesome at the drive in. No one had their phones out, kids were playing frisbee and running all over the playground , there was laughter everywhere, the older family next to us was even playing Uno! It was SO refreshing to see!! We sat outside on our lawn chairs, ate flaming' hot cheetos and took ONE whole selfie the whole night :) it was awesome.

Saturday was spent free of plans and spending time in the gym, at a local pizza joint and relaxing like crazy. Sunday came and went and we found ourselves at the Florence Freedom game that evening with the youth group. It's been a blast to be so active with them this summer. They are teaching me a lot more than I teach them, most days. I love the crap out of them. For you local bloggers, head to a Freedom game ASAP. It was so cheap, and the entertainment was amazing!

All in all, it was a fantastic weekend. We needed a carefree weekend like this. I've been very overwhelmed lately (in a good way!!), and needed a little break!

Opening Day Recap - finally!

Happy Friday, friends!

I don't know about your town (for those of us who have MLB teams), but Cincinnati celebrates Opening Day like its a stinkin' national holiday!! Every year I'm so envious that I'm stuck at work and not downtown celebrating in the sea streets of red... but finally, I was able to join in on the fun!!! My brother's band would be playing in the opening day parade and my mom and Caleb planned on going to watch. So, I decided to take a sporadic vacation day and join them!!

We got there just as one of the connecting roads was closing, so we snagged a spot right up against the railings and it was PERFECT! Sure, we stood there for about two hours, just watching things go by, but it was so much fun!

You KNOW I had to sneak in a photo with the Chickfila cow... :)

Rosie!!

..we were hoping that my brother would be on the right side of the march line and thankfully, he was! We had A GREAT view of him and when he saw us - he couldn't help but have an adorable little smirk! So thankful I decided to take my camera!!

I'm sure everyone says amazing things about their siblings, BUT I just have to brag on my brother. He's really good at drum line...like, really stinkin' good. Last year, as a sophomore, he was getting solo's during concerts...he choreographs friday night football halftime performances, he's gone to judging events at major universities and received perfect scores. His fingers move like lightning - its so neat. Guys, he is CONSTANTLY playing the drums. Watching him do something he loves so much is so neat, as an older sister!

After we were done geeking out over my bro, we headed back towards home to grab some Skyline. Everyone knows its free coney day!! -- jealous, Becky? ;)

Then we picked my brother up from school and snagged some fun photos with him for the heck of it.

It's really is so fun to celebrate moments with your family...big or small. This was a really cool moment for me, as his sister, and I'm excited I was able to be a part of it! Hope you all had a great week!!!

Go Redlegs!

Tonight, Caleb and I have a FUN evening planned with our favorites! That means a Red's baseball game downtown! Not just any... but the first Friday Night game of the season, complete with hot dogs and lemon freezes (JK in my dreams...my diet says no!), and FIREWORKS. I am thrilled.

The four of us LOVE to go to games together... we've sadly not been to enough, but we plan to change that this summer. It's a fun night out!

Dear Erin and Jared, you guys ready for a spring AND summer full of fun!?!

Dear rain delays (that turn into a cancelled game),...I hate you, you're a waste of time, DON'T happen this season. Thanks :)

Dear Caleb, thanks for making the most of those delayed games with me. Even if we do get soaking wet! Thank goodness for golf umbrellas and laughter.

Dear soulmate, lets take another cute picture tonight...if the weather will allow ;)

Dear hat hair, you aren't very cute...but thanks TJ Maxx for the $4.99 hat last year!

Dear Cincinnati, you're always beautiful. Even on a gloomy evening.

Dear Votto, lets get another walk off homer tonight, k?

Dear Caleb (yes, again), thanks for being so amazing! I love ya, almost more than I love cotton candy at the stadium.

Spring time seriously feels like its HERE and I am so happy about it. I'm looking forward to a weekend full of sunshine and beautiful skies!

oh & dear treadmill, I'm now 10.73 miles into my 40 mile challenge this month...thanks! ;)

Have a fantastic weekend everyone...and don't forget to go to yesterday's post & help me pick some fun songs for our wedding playlist. Thaaaanks.
