Although I'm sure most of us root for different teams, can we all just mutually agree that its SO exciting football is back!??!?! Although my team lost its last two preseason games... I don't even mind. Seeing those uniforms back on the field makes me SO giddy! I'm linking up with the most beautiful sister-in-love ever, and you should too! Erin didn't really give us a prompt for this linkup, and I kind of love that. ANYTHING goes! So, I'm going to list LOTS of things that I love about football, both past and present!
One of my favorite memories was when we went with our best friends (isn't it cool when you can say that about family?!) to watch the Bengals beat down on the Titans in Fall of 2011! It was such a fun weekend, and the fact that we won was just the icing on the cake!
Another fun tradition is staying IN to watch the game. Lots of folks buy season tickets (which hey, is amazing, and if I had that kinda cash I'd do that too!), but there's something awesome about staying in, everyone hanging out together on one giant couch, eating whatever we want and having a blast... then going outside after a win during a brisk, Fall evening, and tossing around some football!
Did I mention we TOTALLY believe in superstitions!? ;)
But lets be honest...other than the game, what do I love most about Sundays? THE FOOD. I plan to make as many treats as possible this Fall, especially on Sundays. I'll be working my tail off ALL season long with practically two full time jobs, edits, and church volunteering...oh, and maintaining a social life! So I think a few carbs each Sunday are well deserved.

boooooo!! Total Titans fan right here!! I was at that game, too!! We left part of the way because we were getting our tails handed to us. We were gifted season tickets last year by my Brother-In-Law and it was the best thing since sliced bread!! We loved it so much!! I'm so excited football is back!!
ReplyDeleteI love going to games and watching them from the comfort of my couch! I need those pretzel bites YUMM! :)
ReplyDeleteLovin the pictures! I'm a Vikings fan & while we've won both of our pre-season games so far I still don't hold any stock in it. Pre-Season means nothing...however it is pretty exciting that my team is winning some games ha. We aren't even in the same conference so...GOOD LUCK TO YOUR TEAM!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited that football is back but for me it's alllll about college!! I used to LOVE the NFL but when I started watching college football about 5 years ago, there was no turning back... love love love it!!
ReplyDeleteDrooling over the snacks. That's probably what my football season will look like...lots and lots of snacks.
ReplyDeleteYayyy- Love all the pics and memories we have that are related to Bengals :) I'm so ready to eat my weight in chips and dip with you on week one!! Thanks for linking up love!!!
ReplyDeleteWho Dey!! Nobody in my family watches football and I'm always trying to get people in the spirit, but NOPE. I really just want to have a football party. I have it all dreamed-up in my head. Can I just come over to yours? K, thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE going to games, it's such a fun atmosphere, but I agree that staying at home is a lot of fun too. Cheaper food, too!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the linkup and new follower.
Yay for football!! Erin posted that dip and man, I am already planning on when to make it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun linkup! I love football and like you, I'm a true Bengals fan, even when they aren't easy to love.
ReplyDeleteColts fan here, and really ready for football to start up! We are really superstitious too - we won't put our feet on the floor during the games or change positions if we're playing well...my husband thinks we're crazy, but he is starting to play along! :) Best of luck to your Bengals!
ReplyDeleteKatie @ Sweet Little Ones

ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of football, or many other sports for that matter... but the FOOD - YES PLEASE!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou and my husband both! HA the countdown has finally arrived! And I agree with Allison up above! I love the food part!!
ReplyDelete"It's only weird if it doesn't work." ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this!! I'm a born & raised Chicago Bears fan, but wanting to full "immerse" myself in the Cincinnati lifestyle, have bought some Bengals-wear and am looking forward to attending some of the games this season.
ReplyDeleteI married an Ohioan so I'm a Bengals fan by proxy :) Who dey!
ReplyDeleteReading that description of a brisk fall evening makes me wish it was late September right now!!!
ReplyDeleteI love when everyone gets together to watch a football game!! The game. the food, the excitement it's all so much fun!! Dollar Tree has these cute little half football serving bowls that are perfect for dip! they come in packs of two, I got four lol can't wait to use them this year!!!!
