What happens when you get no sleep.

If you read my blog on Friday, you know that Friday night was going to be the death of me... because I'm an old hag.
JK... but really, I'm still not fully recovered.
Us youth group volunteers put together an "all nighter lock in" for the youth group on Friday night...
& what do you get when you have 25+ teens, add some mountain dew, a crap ton of cupcakes, endless games, hyped up energy, a game of Ninja, kickball, basketball, dodge-ball, capture the flag, board games, obstacle courses, an x-box, girl talk...and zero sleep?
One amazing time.. but a tired Kayla.

Hilarious game...I won't even try to explain.

I literally didn't sleep Friday night...so when we left church I went home and slept from 10AM to 3PM... showered up, and grabbed dinner. Caleb wanted a "carb overload" dinner to prep for his first HALF marathon on Saturday. So where else did you think we'd go beside Cincinnati's famous Skyline Chili??

I told Caleb as he said "I'll take a large 3-way"... that he'd regret it. "That thing is going to be bigger than your entire head..." but did he believe me? Nope. That chili was falling off the plate like a river. He finished about half of it and kept the rest for leftovers.

After dinner, we decided we'd buy our wedding bands. The girl who helped us just so happen to be the same sales-lady who sold Caleb my engagement ring, so it was fun to see it come full circle. She was SUCH a sweetheart and I am ECSTATIC with our choices. My ring didn't look right with the couple "enhancers" I liked, and within my price range I couldn't find a band that I liked well enough to just go under my ring... I won't show any pictures just yet but what we ended up with, I'm kind of in love with. We went with two smaller wedding bands that we will have banded together, so that my engagement ring can go in the middle of them. One on top and one on bottom of my engagement ring... so I made my own "enhancer" ;)
Long story short -- I'm obsessed with it. Can't wait to wear it!

Sunday rolled around...and CALEB RAN HIS FIRST HALF MARATHON!!!!
I am so proud of him... I will have another post to follow this week with more details, but I am so excited for him.

Also, this was our dinner last night...

Byyy the way -- starting today, we are OFFICIALLY in the teens of our wedding countdown.
O-M-G!!!
