Friday night started out amazing... the office let us cut out a few early to start the weekend, I sped home to finish our wedding invitations. I called Caleb as he traipsed around Target by himself (& picked up a George Forman 5 serving grill...mmhhmm!) and told him to go ahead and cook up dinner and that the invitations "should only take me a good hour"... *spoiler alert, it didn't* ...those bad boys took me TWO AND A HALF! Woo...it was hard, but I finished addressing them, stamped the RSVP's aaaand every envelope, stuffed them, licked them, sealed them shut with our personalized sticker seal, and then black ink stamped every last darn return address we needed to finish. BAM. That is how you do it.
DONE.
Then I went to hang out with my man to watch some serious basketball and relax.
The next morning I mailed them all out, Caleb came over to enjoy a delicious fruit and bagel breakfast my grandparent's made up, and we talked wedding details. It was great fun.
Then I browsed online at more wedding bands... {swoon} while Caleb went to the mall with my grandpa. Cute, right?
THEN... I worked out.
Yes, its been forever. Okay more like 2 weeks. But, I'm very disappointed in Caleb and I for not keeping up with Insanity... we successfully finished around 22 of the 60 days, but I mean... we moved him into the apartment the same week his mom was planning to move OUT of their home in Ohio, to transition into a new life in Arkansas...sooo forgive me.
Lets get back on track, so Caleb put me through this rigorous workout at the gym & O-M-G. I am dying.
If it looks like I'm crying in that picture...I just may have been. We ran about 3 miles total, and he had me lifting weights (alright, they were only 5 pounders), doing crazy lifts, pulls, crunches, but still... dude got all "personal trainer" on me, but really I needed it. I'm thankful for a man who pushes me when he knows I can do better. We are going to start doing this every day after work if possible and once on the weekends. I can't wait to be rockin' my bikinis in Mexico!
Saturday night we grabbed dinner and relaxed at the apartment, watched Ohio State sadly lose their chance in the final 4... as some hilarious texts broke out with miss Ashley!
Then it was EASTER! Caleb and I woke up, he picked me up for church (he looked dapper, might I add) then we taught the children's church, changed into more comfortable clothes, grabbed lunch, & went to see my Great Grandma Agnes for the afternoon.
Cutest picture ever, no? |
Isn't she the cutest? This lil thing turns 84 on Wednesday, and I just love her to pieces.
My dad and his fiance were there, too and we all got a surprise!
Amy asked me to be a bridesmaid in her and my dads wedding next year. Then, shortly after, my dad asked my brother Brandon to be his best man, and Caleb to be a groomsmen! It meant so much to us that they asked, its going to be a beautiful spring wedding! (and just another excuse to see my man in a tux! Woo!)
We went home, I had a mini snap-chat session with my best friend Lynds...and then later we had decided to spend some time with two of our best friends (you all know Erin & Jared by now!) ...she made a yummy chicken tortilla soup with salad, and we had fruit and cool whip for dessert.
We skyped with Jared and Caleb's parents, and then Erin's parents...it was great fun! We also talked together for over an hour about our futures...what we want to accomplish on individual levels and as a group, and all the fun that will ensue in the next few years of our lives (yes, notes were taken!).

I am so thankful for them, and beyond blessed that they will not only be my family in less than 2 months, but also life time FRIENDS as well!
Hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend!
