Weekends are for the warriors.

Caleb and I kicked off our weekend with selling a TON of stuff in his parents moving sale. We made some fat cash and we're excited to throw most of it towards our big day!

Right after work I went to Caleb's house and we had a fun bonfire with his family. His dad was back in town this weekend for the moving sale and it was great to be able to see him again.

After almost two hours, Caleb and I knew we needed to get the apartment in order before he slept there, so we headed over (after a quick gas station stop!) and got a ton done. Then, we crashed for a bit and popped in a movie.

YUMMM!!!!
Ohh Jude.
The next morning I was so excited about...Caleb and I officially applied for our passports and then traipsed around a cute consignment shop. Then a bit after, Erin came with me to my make-up trial downtown (btw, it was NOON on the eve os St. Pat's and people were already wasted on the streets...)

sans make-up ;)

I told her I wanted a very clean look, but still wanted to "pop' since it IS one of the most important days of my life thus far ;) she was amazing and I couldn't have loved my make up anymore. I looked in the mirror and had to do a double take. If you know anything about me...I'm very plain jain, I hardly wear any eye make up, and my girl Stacey @ BrideFace - HOOKED ME UP. I can't wait until my wedding day :)

Then we went to our local craft store, picked up some necessities, killed some time at DSW where I marveled at a GORGEOUS purse (see below) and then met our studs at our fav Mexican joint and we went back to her place to craft our lil' fingers off for the next 3.5 hours!

Took a break, got weird, did the Harlem Shake, sang like goats, aaaaand had a blast.

Once Sunday hit...I was whooped. However, Caleb and I are teaching the K-5 at church this month so we had to that, afterwards we took my brother to Men's Warehouse to get measured for his tux, grabbed some lunch and then got a lot more done in the apartment. Then we went back to church for our first night helping out with the youth group. It was a blast! Excited to see how God uses us in these teens' lives!

How was YOUR weekend? :)

  4. Oh yay! So glad you had a wonderful make-up girl! Mine took quite a few, "not so heavy" before she got it. And that purse - love! DWS is one of those places I avoid like the plague so I don't spend unnecessary money :)

  10. That purse is amazing! I love the color, perfect for spring.
And I love the idea of how you made some money to spend on your wedding at a yard sale! My brother is getting married in about a year and him and his fiancee have been trying to find ways to make a little extra dough to put into the wedding so I'll definitely have to give him that tip!

  17. I wear very plain makeup to, but as my makeup artist brother in law pointed out this is the one day you want to look like a rockstar(not literally) so put some freaking fake lashes on. And I was so glad I did. he made me look like a 40s movie star, and now I wish I could do my makeup like that everyday. I'm so glad you liked your makeup. Don't be afraid to do another trial run and make sure it lasts all day.
