This cup of coffee (aka a crap-ton of sugar and cream with splash of coffee) needs to kick in soon. I am insanely tired. It's been a WEEK, y'all! ;) we had our final walk through at our old apartment this past week and I had yet another annoying encounter with the front desk lady. Luckily the maintenance guy was awesome and said we should get our full deposit back - cue happy dance! After that was done, I had some time to kill before Caleb got home so of course the only logical thing to do was drive to my aunts to play with her new puppy, Mojo. Is he not the cutest thing in the world?!?
I had an engagement session at Miami University last night. I'd never been there before and holy moly, that campus is BEAUTIFUL! It really made me want to rewind about 6 years and go back to college days! JK...kinda.... ;) the couple brought their adorable mini Husky (I didn't even know that was a thing??!) and she pretty much stole the show all night. I wish I had sneak peeks to show you but I didn't get home until 11 because after their session they invited me to the most hole-in-the-wall place to eat afterwards, and I never turn down mac & cheese bites. So this picture of Leena and I will have to do for now. This Friday post is turning into puppy central, but I doubt any of you mind?! ;)
Caleb and I have made a significant dent in our unpacking process, yet somehow it still looks like a tornado ran through our living room. Our moment of "awesome" this week was when we realized we had our cable guy set it up on the wrong side of the room and when we called to see how much it would be to change - they wanted to charge us about $150. HA! No thanks. A late night Walmart trip, 50 foot cable cord, and a little sweat later, Caleb did it all my himself. We may have celebrated with leftover pizza...again.
All in all we had a great week and I'm ready for the weekend! Thanks again for sticking with me when my posts are probably a pile of random junk. Is moving brain a real thing!? ;) I hope you guys have some fun plans in the works! Can't wait to read about them.
Let me guess- you went to mac & joe's?! :) Love both those puppies- get one!!
ReplyDeleteMiami's campus is gorgeous in the Fall! I can't wait to see the photos you snagged.
ReplyDeleteI love the dogs name...as Leena is one of my nieces names! I've never seen it used anywhere else!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Kayla, I had no idea we drink our coffee the same exact way! lol
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you guys and your new place. I know it's bigger, but trust me, now is not the puppy time! Their cute little faces are just a trick, so you don't get real mad when they eat your stuff or pee on your bed. :| Don't fall for the adorable puppy face!!
I don't know why I didn't think to have Kalie in any of our wedding related photos... I think it's so weird now that it never even crossed my mind. Once I fit into my dress again, we need a redo!

Oh Kayla, your coffee sounds delicious. Chug a glass of water too, that will help wake you up!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all the unpacking. I know it's no fun now, but soon it will all be over and put away!
Puppy! OMG whenever I look back at pictures of my dogs when they were puppies (Oatmeal still technically is a pup!) I get so nostalgic and sometimes I tear up! lol
ReplyDeleteI'm dying over all the puppy and doggy cuteness!!! Happy weekending girl :)
ReplyDeleteHoly adorableness that pupper is way too cute!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday gurlie <3

Both of those puppies are adorable!! I had no idea mini Huskys were a thing either, so cute!! Yay for getting most of your deposit back! I absolutely hate when places keep most of it for silly things. Also, love your necklace in that last picture!! Have a good weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteEvery time I walk through a pretty college campus I crave going back to those days! I bet it was such a fun shoot with a pooch included! Do a lot of couples do that now a days? Because I'm going to be one of them, haha. Hope you have a great weekend and get some more unpacking done so you can feel settled!
ReplyDeletePuppies! All the heart eyes, especially for the mini husky. And for Mac & Cheese bites.
ReplyDeleteLove the puppies!!! I didn't know a mini husky was a thing... or Mac & Cheese bites. Where have those been all of my life!??! I've spent all week arguing with Comcast, so I feel the cable struggle too, girlfriend. Hope you guys have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI lurve your necklace in that pup picture. And also, I don't think I've ever worried and stressed as much as when we were waiting to hear if we would get the full deposit back on our old apartment(s). "OMG what is that spot on the floor!! We didn't do that, did we Freddie??? That as there, right???"
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Mic went to Miami and drove me through there once. It was beautiful! I would love to go back and explore a little more.
ReplyDeleteIt is terrible how much the cable people. etc. charge. Glad you were able to find a simple fix!
Have a great weekend Kayla!
thoseeee puppies (insert heart eyed emoji) best of luck with the unpacking, which, personally, i think is worse than packing.
ReplyDeleteShew, you made me tired just reading all that. Hope you get some rest this weekend!
ReplyDeletePuppies make everything better! And holy crap I am glad you guys were able to save the $150 and move your cable on your own. That's just crazy that they can charge that much!
ReplyDeleteMoving brain IS a thing!
ReplyDeleteI want to see pictures of your new place! Moving is the worst ever. I hope you guys can stay put for awhile!
How come I didn't know about this! You visited Miami!? You could've came to see me!
