Sunday might be my 24th birthday, but today is this little blogs 3rd birthday! Woohoo! It's birthday week all around these parts. I truly can't believe how much joy this blog has brought to my life! The genuine friendships that I've made are unreal, and looking back just a few years during our engagement nearly brings me to tears. I'm so thankful for this little space I call mine! Thanks to all of you who show up day after day to listen to my ramblings ;)
Speaking of! This is the first time in a long time that I've blogged 5 days in a row. I'm beat, you guys! I don't know how some of you do it all the time! A few things got cancelled this week so Caleb and I had a pretty low-key week and a whole lot of time to burn.
Tuesday night I came home from the grocery store after work to find a little surprise waiting on me to kick off my birthday week. That man knows the way to my heart!!

Tuesday night I came home from the grocery store after work to find a little surprise waiting on me to kick off my birthday week. That man knows the way to my heart!!
Then last night I was snap chatting with Becky and she told me to check my door! I saw a package waiting there and the cutest cookbook was inside! She knows me too well! ;) thankful that last year she hopped on a plane having never met me, and stayed the weekend! We explored the city, made french toast, and ran 5 miles! I can't wait for her to visit again so we can make a recipe from my new book! Birthday week rocks!!
If you follow me on instagram (which you should), you probably saw me mention the most delicious Panera salad that I got! It's the seasonal one (strawberry poppyseed w/ grilled chicken), and I immediately took to twitter to ask how to recreate it. A couple friends mentioned a few dressings that were similar but when I made a trip to Kroger I found THEE dressing!!! So insanely tasty and at only 30 calories a serving, you better believe its my new go-to.
For the past couple weeks I've tried to be a lot better at finding encouragement for friends, and for myself, and this little square of inspiration brought me so much joy. How amazing that God gives us a sunrise and sunset DAILY?!!
Also... for girls with next to no volume in their roots naturally, buy this STAT! It was less than $3 and stacks up next to those salon products, in my opinion. I'm definitely not one to spend a ton of cash on products (or buy them at all)...but this is worth it!!
Hope you all had a great week. I'm so excited for our weekend away with friends. It'll be nice to have no real obligations :) enjoy it, friends!!!
OO that dressing! Is it in the refrigerated section?
ReplyDeleteAre you telling me that root lift will actually make my hair not lay flat against my head?! Adding that to the Target list asap...
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you and your blog!! Both are very important and must be celebrated :)
ReplyDeletewahhhhhh. why don't i get to stay the weekend!! lol
ReplyDeleteI MEAN, happy almost birthday! can't wait to sing to you on Sunday :D
DeleteOhh, I'm going to have to try that Root Amp... I use Root Pump Plus from Big Sexy Hair but mine is almost gone and it's pretty pricey! For $3, I'm definitely going to give this one a try! Happy birthday... enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWhen/if I ever run out of the stuff I have from the salon, I will add that to my list :) But then again, now that I have well water/hard water my hair has more body to it with no products. Kind of scary, but I'll take it! lol!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to the blog and to you! Hope you have an amazing weekend and year! And 24 is totally early twenties still!
Happy birthday bloggy and happy early birthday to you!! I need to check out that root lifting product - mine are sad, dreary little things lol! Happy weekending :)
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary and happy happy birthday!! Enjoy celebrating these events!
ReplyDeleteThat's the cutest cookbook ever! How perfect, Becky!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy blog birthday! I just had my two year. It's funny how that really makes you look back on everything it has brought you over that time. Hope you have a fantastic birthday weekend!
ReplyDeleteWOO HOO! Happy blog-birthday and happy early birthday!! That mason jar is so cute! Can you tell a huge difference with the hair stuff?? Because this girl has NO volume and could use all the help lol. And, go you on the blogging 5 days in a row, gettin' work done!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday week and blog birthday, girl!!
ReplyDeleteooooh I think I need to try that dressing! Yummmmmm! Have the best weekend sweet girl! xo
ReplyDeleteAnyone that buys me marshmallow fluff is an instant favorite in my book. I love that Becky went all yellow for you! Happy, happy early birthday! Have a wonderful trip! :)
ReplyDeleteIf I say 24 is still considered early twenties will you say 27 is still considered mid twenties? :) I need to go try that dressing!
ReplyDeleteHappy almost-birthday and blog anniversary! I counted 24 as early 20s, so you should too!
ReplyDeletehappy almost birthday!! And yes, 24 TOTALLY still counts as early twenties! also, I will definitely have to try out that root pump! I'm always on the hunt for new hair products!
ReplyDeletehappy birthday tomorrow!! i LOVE that mason jar! I actually love ALL mason jars! :) So cute! I've been trying to find inspiration for myself and others lately too. This morning in my bible reading I read this verse and it really spoke to me today after some trials at work this week. Luke 10:27 He responded, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." That last part gets me occasionally when I feel like people are trying to push my buttons on purpose! I'm a work in progress. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you follow the teacher's way of doing math, yes 24 is still the early 20s because anything below 4 is, then 5 is middle and 6 on up is late :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how some gals blog 5 times a week either! I consider it a major accomplishment to have 4 blog posts in one week. That cookbook sounds so perfect for you. Have a great weekend celebrating your birthday :)
ReplyDeleteLove your fun gifts! Happy birthday for you and your blog! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I missed so much - happy blogiversary and belated birthday girl!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteHappy Blog anniversary and yes anything under 25 is still early twenties ;-)
