I can barely move today. The half marathon yesterday was just as awesome as I thought it would be, a little tougher than I remember, but just as rewarding as ever. I have a whole separate post planned for that...so for now I thought I'd show you how much fun Caleb and I had this weekend, doing nothing but dating each other :)
Friday evening we both were SO sleepy from our late night of softball (him playing, me watching) on Thursday, so when we got home from work we took a nice long two hour nap. HA! Like I said last week, our Friday nights are pretty wild ;) we decided to make a mission out of finding an arm band for me to wear for the half: mission accomplished! Then we grabbed dinner at O'Charley's and we're pretty sure we had the best waiter in the history of ever. He was so nice, and always had something funny to say...but wasn't over the top ;) then we went home and enjoyed some down time.
Saturday I woke up early while Caleb and his brother were beasts and completely dominated a 5K. Seriously, as if the half marathon the very next day wasn't going to be enough! ;) so I took it upon myself to finally get some grocery shopping done before we had an afternoon of flopping on the couch before our hot date!
We had a gift card to P.F. Changs so we indulged in a lot of food and decided to carb-load for the big race!! Side note; my hair is getting LONG. This gal needs a cut!
We got home and had a lot of puzzle time and ate a crap ton of guacamole. It's not normal that we get much free time so I can tell you we soaked up every LAST second of it. We also have one more free weekend before the weddings get seriously crazy, but we can't wait!
Next up? Recapping the half marathon. Eek!
Yay for the half, can't wait to hear about it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to find an armband! And I'm glad you had a good waiter at o'charleys--- we had a mediocre experience last time we went to that one and haven't been back since, ha! That crapton of guacamole sounds delish- you should have saved it for tomorrow! cinco de mayo!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Erin, should have saved the guac for tomorrow - or better yet, just go get more then! ;)
ReplyDeleteSuper proud of you for finishing your half! Can't wait to read about it! I instantly started drooling at the mention of guacamole, so that's a problem for me...haha.
