I just wish week DAYS would go just as fast as the weekENDS seem to! We had so much fun planned and couldn't wait to get started. Friday night I came home and got in a quick run...which was perfect because that night was also declared "cheat night" (I think I'm seeing a pattern here), so we got Chinese! My brother stayed the night with us so while the boys played video games, I caught up on some reading.
Saturday morning we had a huge run in front of us. It was going to be the longest run yet in my training plan, and Caleb promised to run it with me. We got started, and something just came over us...we felt GREAT! He told me to follow him and we finally ventured outside of our little apartment complex. We ran on a real road, you guys!! It made me feel kinda legit (not going to lie). He's so good at keeping a great pace...and if I can do this again on race day, I'll be more than satisfied!
I cleaned up and made french toast for all of us....
...then spent a while reading...
...before heading to Erin and Jared's for a much overdue game night! We missed our best friends!
We also made a quick trip to CVS for some snacks and I found this lil guy!
Sunday was busy, but awesome. We went to church, got Caleb's haircut, I had a photo shoot, then went on a quick 2 mile run. Then we had youth group where we shot some basketball for a while, such a blast! THEN! The Walking Dead finale. OMG! Any fans?!! I'm dying. I can't even wait to see what's next!!!!
Happy Monday, friends!!!
Okay, that picture of the puzzles kind of makes me want to do a puzzle, especially a Disney one! That picture of you with the giant Peeps bunny is adorable! Sounds like you had a great weekend, Kayla. (:

ReplyDeleteOh Nineteen Minutes. Such a great book!! We didn't watch Walking Dead last night, so I'm limiting Social Media because I know spoilers are lurking!
ReplyDeletegood job on your run girl! you are going to kill that half marathon :)
ReplyDeletewe stopped watching The Waling Dead probably on season 3.. We are planning a huge catching up weekend to make up for it! :) Weekends should definitely be longer - but you two sure know how to enjoy it! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your run, when you are able to hit a new milestone like that it just makes you want to push even harder! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteYou're killing it with the runs lately, girlfriend! Keep it up! How cute is that Peep?! I WANT HIM! This season of The Walking Dead has been ON POINT. I'm salty that we have to wait until the fall for more. I'm planning on watching the spin-off show this summer, though, so hopefully that helps fill the void!
ReplyDeleteYay for fun weekends! Girl. I just can't even. The Walking Dead finale last night had me all like "OHHHH MUHHHHH GOSSSHHHH!!!!!" I'm chomping at the bit for the next season.
ReplyDeleteAw those are such cute puzzles! Awesome run stats.

Nineteen Minutes is one of my favorites by Jodi! Way to go girl!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing so GREAT with running. I need to get into some type of routine again....ahhh! (not with running, of course, but working out in general.) Also, that french toast looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to start running and getting active again. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteI wish week days went by as fast as weekend do, too, or another day in there between Saturday and Sunday lol! Woo hoo for y'alls big run on Saturday morning!!!!! Seriously, whenever I run on a road (which is hardly ever lol) I feel legit, too!!!! That french toast is making me hungry...at 9PM..looks so good! Glad y'all had a good weekend!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend! I agree, this one flew by!
ReplyDeleteAh a 7 mile run?! How freaking awesome are you for knocking that out. And yay for feeling legit! You totally are. Especially when you say things like "a quick 2 mile run." LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on wishing week days went by as quickly as weekends did. Weekends go by in the blink of an eye but week days just drag by and you're always hoping it's actually Thursday not just Tuesday.
