Wow. I can't even begin to describe how amazing this break from work has been for my soul. With the two or three other Christmas celebrations we had after last weeks post, I'm feeling so incredible thankful, and tired! I could go on and on about all the gifts we received, all the calories that were consumed and all the plans that we made, but I'll just give you the play by play via pictures.
We started Christmas Eve with an amazing church service, and a Starbucks trip with Caleb's parents!
We spent Christmas Eve evening with my Dad's side of the family, just like usual. It was a blast!
I just love how red and glittery everything is!! Its truly the best time of year.
Our sweet Great Grandma Agnes!
We started our own little tradition last year of giving each other one "smaller" gift on Christmas Eve and his gift to me did NOT disappoint! I was so excited!
My brother stayed over for a while, then we put in Elf and fell asleep on the couch before finally going to bed. Then we woke up and celebrated our second christmas together! I had a few fun things up my sleeve for Caleb and we had a great morning together. He did SUCH an awesome job with my gifts.
I know, I look gross. But I don't even care. THAT was my excited face! EEK! Finally got my hands on my very own Polaroid. I had one a few years back and it broke :( so you could say I'm more than happy to have this bad boy!!
& these...SO gorgeous.
My "big gifts" to Caleb were a record player and a hobby box (which are a TON of football cards, some autographs, etc)...he was ecstatic. Much to my surprise, the record player was his absolute favorite gift.
After we were done playing with our new gifts, we headed to my grandparents and had our traditional brunch! My grandma (with the help of my aunt) make the most incredible food for this brunch, I seriously look forward to it all year long.
(this was my favorite thing out of my stocking from Caleb...and yes, I plan on using this at work!)
My grandparents got us a Walking Dead trivia game...we're so excited!!
We spent the rest of the afternoon playing Disney trivia and napping. It was perfect. Later that evening, we saw a movie with Caleb's family! Overall, this Christmas break was a good one and I'm feeling really grateful. Hope yours was amazing and I look forward to reading all the recaps!!
