Love the outtakes.

I'm so happy today. Not only do we get to wear jeans in the office (this NEVER happens), they are also closing the offices for a half day! So excited to get this holiday started, and take a ton of ridiculous pictures :)

Speaking of pictures...I can't tell you how many photos we snap at weddings that weren't planned. In my opinion? It makes for the best ones. Those silly photos that show the bride and grooms real personalities...ahh, its just about my favorite thing ever. This shot below wasn't one I had planned on giving to the bride and groom because its so blown out, but man, I love it.

I know I've talked about my photography a lot recently, but if I'm being honest? It's pretty much consumed me lately. It seems like I'm constantly editing pictures, meeting with future brides, or doing some other sort of photo shoot. It's been kind of a struggle not to feel overwhelmed as of late.

Then I remember...I'm lucky enough to do what I love. I'm working harder and harder every single day to make my dreams into a reality. One of my best friends told me (as I talked about how busy I had been) that "busy means a FULL life", full of blessings, full of happiness, even if sometimes that comes with a hint of overwhelming stress that I don't have much free time.

These moments make it ALL entirely worth it.

Happy 3rd of July ;)

  10. Chicka, those unplanned photos are the best kind! That's what drew me to my wedding photographer. He's known for doing that, not just the "sit, smile, click" ones like the big companies do. I think that's what was bothering me a bit about that last wedding I mentioned. I'm so use to people picking individual photographers, not big companies anymore and you can tell what you're going to get. They haven't posted the pics yet so I'm hoping I'm wrong!
