I've never really participated in these 'thankful Thursday' posts... mainly because I try to reflect in my posts how thankful I am for my life on a daily basis, but I figured hey, why not focus in on a few people I'm most thankful for this season.
My husband, his wonderful brother, and his beautiful wife...who turned into one of my best friends, very quickly!
The four of us can legitimately do anything together and have a blast. Oh, we're all home on a Friday night alone? GAME NIIIIGHT (that always turns deadly). Seriously, we'll go over to their house and they have 7 board games stacked on top of each other, Wii controllers ready, and popcorn in the bowl. We always end up choosing Monopoly claiming things "won't get out of hand this time"...... and they always do. I secretly love it.
It's one of our birthdays? We celebrate together all week long. Store bought cakes, hilarious candles, awesome gifts...its amazing.
Impromtu Red's game? We're there!
Holidays? Oh, those are the best. The four of us LOVE Christmas season. We carol together, we make gingerbread houses, drink (disgusting) eggnog, and even take a family Christmas card together...
|Natalie joined us that year! Caleb/Jared's beautiful cousin!|
We kick-start my favorite season off RIGHT. Fall festivals? You betcha!
We don't judge
me each other when I we rap to Busta Rhymes like its our job on the way home from a double date.
We travel together to cheer our Bengals to sweet, sweet victory!
& most importantly... were always, always there for each other.
One of my favorite memories with Erin was the weekend before her and Jared's wedding in 2011. It was 2AM, Jared was having his harmless bachelor party, and Erin was still up trying to finish their wedding programs in that house of theirs all alone. She called me and asked me to come over and so what did I do? Threw on my glasses, tossed my hair up, and headed over in my finest PJ's. We opened a fresh box of Cheez-its and cracked open a couple Dew's while finishing those darn programs, and watched the sun rise... literally.
Needless to say, I know these three would drop anything for me if I ever needed them for something. They've already proved that to be true numerous times. Life would still be life had I never met these 3, but it sure wouldn't be near as beautiful.
