Know your worth!

As most of you know, I am engaged (to a hot stud).

& I want to look good for him (yes, were getting personal. That's what blogging is about), yet I don't always feel like I look good. This is always something I struggle with, and also talked about last Thursday (sorry if I'm a total broken record), but the past week I've read so many verses about my own worth, and I really felt God tugging on my heart to know my worth. That I am beautiful.

Proverbs 31:10 "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.". Heck yes, I am.

Song of Solomon 4:7 "You are altogether beautiful, my love, there is no flaw in you" None? I'll take it.

Proverbs 31:25 "She is clothed with strength and dignity, she can laugh at days to come". Bring it on, future.

Lets be honest, I was recently told by a new blogger friend that my blog is all "sunshine and smileys" all the time, and that is so not my actual life. I have down days, just like every other woman I talk too. We are human, and although I try to be as happy as possible on this blog, I have my days. Trust me. So, this week, I have learned to lean on Christ when I don't feel of value, and what do I get every time? "Child, you are mine, and I have your future in my palm. Do not worry about tomorrow, for I have your life in my hands." and I am so comforted by that.

So happy that I have this blog as an outlet to say whatever the heck I want, but also that I have so much support from my amazing followers. Please, please contact me if you are a new follower. I truly want to get to know each and every one of you!

PS- Almost to 100 followers. You can expect a giveaway soon :)

PPS- It is miss Amanda's birthday! Go say hi! :) she is hilarious, and definitely awesome.

  2. Absolutely nothing wrong with being "sunshines and smileys", my friend. :-) I think that some people put "too" much on the internet...know what I mean? And we all have our days...seriously!! Grateful that I've found you in this gigantic world of blogging!

  3. This is an awesome post! I feel like my blog is all sunshine and sparkles, too, and while that's true for my life for the most part, I do have days that are just "blah" and struggle with things.

  5. Ohhhh! I love the feeling we get when we rest in Gods arms and let him love on us and remind us that we are perfect in his eyes. Isn't it nice that we are free on our blogs to share the good and the not so good and people are there to read, encourage and share in it with us! You post what you want...if you're having a great week don't down play it...let it shine, as well as feel free to vent and be encouraged by your readers :)

  6. amen! believe and declare it. you are absolutely worth a whole lot! I love when women realize that, because a lot of the time, myself included wallow in how we're not good enough. I still do that sometimes, and I have to snap myself out of it quickly. cause then it gets ugly. like really bawling ugly. haha. but seriously, you are beautiful. i'm sure that your beau thinks that as well, and not to mention our God.
thanks for being an encouragement and linking up!

  13. Great post! So many of us need to be reminded of this. Proverbs 31 is such a great chapter... I lead a bible study for high schoolers going through it and they really enjoyed it.
