A heavy heart today

Yesterday was a very sad day. It started out great, with all the photo shoots, I even snuck in a little nap afterwards.

Then I got a phone call from Caleb saying his grandpa was being rushed to the hospital and was having a heart attack and wasn't sure how serious it was. Immediately, I sprung out of bed, put on some normal clothes and rushed to pick him up and head out to the hospital.

Unfortunately, we didn't make it in time to say goodbye to him. He had already passed, and was waiting at the gates of heaven. As unexpected and emotional as this day was... I take comfort in the fact that Jesus has him now. Thats the beautiful thing about choosing a life in Christ, we get life after death. Its called eternity.

Caleb will get to see his grandpa again one day, and for that I am so thankful.

    I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my grandpa (my hero) last year. I know how hard it can be. I'll keep you in my thoughts + prayers. xo

    Oh, Kayla...I am so sorry to hear about Caleb's grandfather. It definitely does bring peace knowing that you will see him again one day. Praying for you, my sweet friend.
