Yesterday was definitely a day where I thought to myself "what else can go wrong!?". It seemed like one thing after another was coming down on me and I was nearly in tears on my way home. Don't you just hate days like that? Everything seems to be going wrong and no matter what you do, it doesn't seem to get any better.
I always tend to worry over things that are out of my control, when that never does any good. I can honestly say that worrying over something has NEVER made that situation any better. Luckily when I saw Caleb and he gave me a big hug, I felt better. I'm always quickly reminded when I'm in his presence that life truly is so good.
Anyway, a few minutes after I'm wishing for my day to turn around, we show up to Enterprise and they have a Dodge Charger waiting on me. AKA: my dream car. I felt like a little kid in a candy shop. I couldn't contain my giddiness and thought to myself, get it together, Kayla, before she tells you you're being Punked. Turns out, she was being serious and handed us the keys. Except, they aren't even keys? It's like a weird push-to-start contraption that is way too fancy for me. My evening was beginning to turn around....
THEN! Caleb tells me we're heading out for a midweek date night and I just couldn't be happier. That man always knows how to make me smile. There seems to always be a silver lining in every weird, annoying situation. At least, I'm choosing to believe that.!
Other than that, not much news with me. Just trying to enjoy the rest of this downtime that Caleb and I have before the craziness that is April gets here. This month, we only have a few photography commitments but mostly March is full of free weekends and weeknights and I'm basically beside myself with excitement that Caleb and I have nothing to do these next few weeks.
What else is new with me?
-This dumb cold has come back to haunt me.
-We've eaten out entirely too much this week!
-Caleb and I are trying to plan a getaway for just the two of us!
-I'm insanely ready for Spring. Goodbye, snow!!!
-This link up! I love how random you can be with it. Thanks, Kristen!

Ugh, sorry yesterday started off so yucky. It's tough to turn your brain and emotions around when it's blah. Super glad a hug from your husband and a DODGE CHARGER turned your day around. Did you know I almost bought one instead of my current car? I really wanted one that looked like Bumble Bee but realized I would get way too many tickets driving it so fast, haha.
ReplyDeleteBoo to crummy days but I'm glad some things turned around! And a date night sounds like perfection :)
ReplyDeleteMy stupid cold came back again too. I blame one of the Preschool kids I work with for coughing all over me the week he was sick.
I'm really glad that your day turned around. :) Lately, I've been trying to focus on turning every annoyance, frustration, etc. into something positive. Sometimes it's really hard to do, but I like the challenge of trying to flip it into something else. If nothing else, it helps me not focus on how pissed/frustrated/upset I am! You're sick, too?! Ugh. I've had the sinus infection from hell since basically August and I'm beyond over it. I couldn't agree more - bring on the warmer weather and sunshine!
ReplyDeleteGlad you ended up having a better day! Eating dinner out is the best!
ReplyDeleteOMG seriously my day was the same as well!!!! i even wrote a post about it haha trying to make myself laugh but it was not working. KC gave me a hug and made it better too, then i tripped over a cat toy and i was mad all over again. haha. but i'm glad you got a fancy pants car to drive and a midweek date :) and yes, bring on the random haha. thanks for linking up with us :)
ReplyDeleteYay for that car of sunshine! Enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteA surprise date night is always fun! I'm glad you got a rental car you liked. I think it would be awful to have to drive a car you really didn't like!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear things aren't great right now, but it seems like you have a lot to look forward to! Hoping that March is a good month for you :) Thanks for linking up with us!
ReplyDeleteI love that Caleb was able to help turn your day around :) Enjoy all your free time this month!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI am insanely ready for spring too! So over the cold!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got your dream car for the rental. Glad your week has gotten better!
