Although it was the first official weekend of Spring, I have to say, our weather was not cooperating. All of last week I was able to take long walks and enjoy nothing but 50-60 degree weather and warm sunshine. This weekend? Nothing but cold breezes and spitting rain. Of course, we were scheduled to photograph a wedding during the cold day, but regardless, we managed and I believe we snagged some beautiful shots for Ashley and Michael.
Her bridesmaid dresses were a dream, and the overcast sky cooperated for us.
We had a great time at the reception and left feeling ready for wedding season. Luckily, we have one more free weekend to enjoy before things get a little crazy in April!
The rest of the weekend was spent running around shopping for Erin's shower! My MIL and I stopped by Panera for lunch (I ordered the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad - it was pretty tasty, but I prefer their seasonal Strawberry Poppyseed Salad!) to finalize our master shopping list, and then hit the town. It was awesome to finally start purchasing things and having them in hand to get a better visual for our theme. Erin finally got the invitation in the mail last week and our theme is A Storybook Shower! See the ADORABLE (if I do say so myself) invitation below...
(Blocked out some sensitive info-obviously)
It's been so much fun to plan this shower. I'm honestly having a blast with it. I can't wait to shower her with gifts and love and just have a ton of awesome ladies together to celebrate Baby M! We're all so excited!
Sunday evening was spent with our youth group, and then watching The Walking Dead with my man.
Easter is almost here, and I have like NO decorations, which stinks because its one of my fav holidays (because of the reason as well as it means Spring is here!!). I saw the cutest Easter wreath at the store the other day. Maybe at this point I just wait until Easter passes so they are super cheap? Then I can use it next year!! #logic
I hope everyone had a great, safe weekend. Have a fun Monday, friends!
Our weather was a bit cray-cray too. I'm so ready for spring time and then summer. GORGEOUS photos, lady. Like I told you before you have SUCH a great eye for fabulous pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love all her bridesmaid dresses-so pretty! Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love all those mismatched bridesmaids dresses! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteOkay so I've been having an RSVP issue with my stepmom and since you're planning something, I'm curious as to what you guys did - are they RSVPing to either one of you or just you, or just your MIL?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how cute the shower turns out!
those bridesmaid dresses are gorgeous! Personally I love overcast skies in pictures, so I couldn't even picture a better picture! amazing!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I love the theme :)
ReplyDeleteWeather is always a fear of mine with weddings that I plan...I ask for a plan B & C lol! I love the invite for her shower - so cute!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeletehaha i always think to myself that i will buy decorations after a certain holiday because they will be cheaper, but then i forget. seriously though what was up with the weather?! so disappointing, i am ready for real spring please!
ReplyDeleteI pretty much want one of each of those bridesmaid dresses- SO pretty!!♥ I hope this is the last little bit of cold for Ohio- cmon Spring!
ReplyDeleteAwwww! I love the theme for the shower! I seriously cannot wait to see the blog recaps of the big day! That picture of the bride with her bridesmaids is gorgeous, so you obviously rocked it despite the ridiculous weather. Come on, Spring! Did Walking Dead absolutely kill you like it did me?! Getting so nervous...Also, you should totally wait and save money on your Easter decorations! That's just being smart. ;)
ReplyDeleteIf you need some decorations on the cheap, always shop the Dollar Spot at Target. I got some really great items and spend less than $10.
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous wedding, absolutely loving the bridesmaid dresses! But I hear ya on the cold weather and the lack of Easter decorations. I go all out for fall and the holiday season, but am pathetic in the Easter department. That needs to change! And of course looking forward to the warmer temps <3
