Suck and sweet.

(Stealing this post idea from the adorable Shelley, cause she rocks!)

Suck: This morning, I wake up with the reminder that my Bengals had a sad loss last night (can't wait to see how many "fans" quit repping their jerseys over 1 loss 10 weeks into the season)
Sweet: the memories I made last night with my husband were some of my favorite as of late. Regardless of our teams loss, being a diehard next to him is pretty fun!

Suck: the insanely annoying headaches I keep getting
Sweet: the mountain dew I treated myeslf to cause I "just needed the caffeine to help my headache" ;)

Suck: the horrible evil that's going on in today's world
Sweet: watching countries stand side by side in support. They brought both flags out at the game last night, and I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a tear in my eye.

Suck:  not knowing what to buy your husband for Christmas
Sweet: being blessed by this "problem".

Suck: not having a Christmas photo yet for cards
Sweet: which caused me to look back at past Christmas photos that never hit social media - would it be awful of me to recycle a photo from 3 years ago!? ;)

Suck: getting a very minimal amount of comments on a post near to my heart
Sweet: but getting a ton (for me) on a post I whipped out in 7 minutes. Blogging is weird ;)

Suck: When your gel manicure starts to peel and your nails are left more janky than they were pre-manicure!
Sweet: now I can just schedule a new appointment... right? ;)

Suck: Being overwhelmed with work at the office
Sweet: ... but the days seem to be flying by!

I hope everyone has a fun, random, happy Tuesday! ALWAYS remember, no matter how much negativity is going on around us, YOU can be the light!

  1. This is such a good idea - take the negative and spin it around and see the positive in it! With all the sadness going on today in the world, I love reading happy posts :)

  3. Mountain Dew cures all things, I'm sure of it. And even though I am sad for you and your Bengals that last night was a loss I am happy for JJ Watt and the Texans for winning. Love me some JJ! :)

  4. I love the side by side comparisons of the good and bad. For every negative there is a positive side right? Especially on the gel nail thing - new appointment for sure, and the crazy days at work - at least they go fast! Happy Tuesday lady!

Now...I also have no clue what to get Ricky for Christmas. Brainstorm together time!! Thank goodness so many bloggers do gift guides that I can steal ideas from...

  9. This year Drew and I decided instead of buying each other more stuff we are going to splurge and do a big fun holiday date! Just food for thought. ;) And so sad about the Bengals, but I'm sure the atmosphere downtown was fun. Glad you two diehards had fun regardless!

  10. Dude, I don't think I've ever written a post in 7 minutes! Blogging is super weird. I think less people in general leave comments these days.

  11. I love this idea! I'm also worrying about christmas card (as if I really had to..) I always feel awkward having cards when we don't yet have a full family. But maybe I'll get my cat to behave for a photo shoot? haha

  12. I say go for the photo that you love regardless of when it was taken. And I hope your headaches subside soon, and you feel better *hugs* ;-)

  13. so i absolutely LOVE your take on the "suck & sweet" idea! i'm seriously considering using an old picture for christmas cards too, so i'd say go for it! and i hope your week at work has gotten a little less crazy, if not, (hopefully) you have a short week next week because of thanksgiving!
