We got to visit with some of our dearest friends last night, and finally meet their sweet new bundle of joy, named Charlotte. She was born on October 29th, and I've literally been holding myself back from not skipping work to cuddle her daily. Luckily, last night was my chance. I think I fell in love. No wait, I definitely did.
Caleb and I are nowhere near ready for children...obviously if it happened, we would be overwhelmed with joy, but like I've said before, we plan to wait a few years...enjoy some time of just 'the two of us' before a little one is in the picture. So that's whats nice about having friends with babies...you can snuggle them all you want, and then give them back :)
I really just love to see Caleb with kids...no matter the age. He has this way about him, they trust him, he is so easy to get along with, and has absolutely no shame in wearing a princess tiara to make Nora smile. She is such a good big sister, and we wanted to make sure to show her some love as well...as much as she loves having a little sister, I'm sure she's not used to having to share the attention. Most kid aren't. Shoot, when I was THIRTEEN I was jealous of my newborn cousin for all the attention he got. So funny to look back on. So, I played along with Nora's adorable imagination throughout the evening, as usual... just love her little personality!
Then the guys got back with dinner, and after that? It was time to stare at the baby again. I mean really though, how do these two make the most BEAUTIFUL children!!?
...oh yeah, that's how. #gapmodels (this was taken only about one month ago)
The night went way too fast, as usual, and Nora had to go to bed. It was adorable watching her say goodnight to her new sister.
We love hanging out with them. It seems like we always end up laughing our faces off, watching old videos, and talking about our futures. We always leave their home feeling refreshed and inspired...and last night was no exception. Can't wait to see what our future holds...even if babies are a few years away! Happy Tuesday!
Love the babies you can snuggle and love up on but then give back. Especially when they're cranky, right? :)
ReplyDeleteBabbbbies. I'm more and more getting to the point where it's hard to give them back. Not that I'm going to become a child snatcher, but that I might maybe possibly be ready for my own. WHO AM I SAYING THESE THINGS???
ReplyDeleteAUNT RACHAEL IS READY! HEHE
DeleteThey are such a precious family :) Charlotte looks just like Nora- I love it!
ReplyDeleteGirllll, I have to contain the fever just from reading this!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously such a gorgeous family!!! I'm glad you now have two adorable little girls to love on and spoil!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are gonna be a great momma one day!! Little Miss Charlotte is precious!! But, I think you guys are smart for waiting. Enjoy the time together as a couple. Ross and I waited five years before we had kids! :)
ReplyDeleteprecious kiddos! Kevin and I plan to wait a while too. Usually I don't get baby fever but every now and again in rolls on in. We have some friends with toddlers but not any with new babies...I'm sure baby fever will be stronger then. haha
ReplyDeleteI have the baby fever like crazy, but I'm not even engaged yet! Not good. That sweet little girl is melting my heart. The picture of her sleeping and those cheeks are doing me in for the day.
ReplyDeleteSweet babies make my day!!! I love to stare at them and hold them (in a noncreepy way) haha YAY for friends who have babies who share their happiness with you. Great pictures sweet friend.
