I'm joyful.

Despite getting POURED on this morning... I am thankful.
I am thankful because I'm alive. I'm able to feel the rain.
I'm thankful I have my friends and family to hug whenever I feel like it.

As we all know, this day twelve years ago, was a day that forever changed the lives of thousands.
It got me thinking on my way to work (and I posted something about this yesterday), what I'm truly thankful for. I typically say finding joy in the small things is a key to happiness. I truly believe it.

I'm happy because...
-Fall is right around the corner.

-I met a gorgeous bride-to-be last night and we talked "wedding" for over an hour at Starbucks. She brought one of her bridesmaids, who happened to be an avid blog-reader of mine (Heeey Leah!). It was humbling, and so much fun.

-I won the most amazing giveaway from Alexa's blog. Seriously, southern shrimp and grits. How cool is that?!

-My 13 year old car is still running. Woo!

-I cooked REAL meals two nights in a row. Seriously, that Rice Krispie Chicken I posted on Instagram Monday night...Caleb ate 5 pieces of. #suzyhomemakerinthemaking

-I'm making time to dive into God's word more often. I WILL be finishing the entire Bible before 2013 is over.

-I get to meet a fellow blogger this week, Miss Amanda. I am literally SO excited about this. Not only will she be the first blogger friend I ever get to meet, but Caleb and I are also shooting her wedding on Friday!! Head over and wish her some wedding happies, friends!!

-Leaves are beginning to slightly change colors.

-My colorful gym shoes I slip into every time I head out for a run.
