This is what it looks like

...when two people have FINALLY chosen their honeymoon destination. You guys, Caleb and I found a million and a half options to go with on our honeymoon, I've talked to lots of my new blogger friends (especially Hilary!) about possible locations, and after much unnecessary stress, we've chosen our destination. Do you KNOW how exciting this is?!!??

Caleb doesn't look too excited, but trust me... he is. We checked out the resort map, names of restaurants, I mean, we went straight up crazy. I am so excited. My dad has the hook-up with him and his fiance's (yes, my dad is also engaged...) travel agent and she scored us a great deal at none other thaaaan.....

Now Jade Riviera Cancun resort. GAAAHH. I am in love. Almost every room in the place has an ocean view. Our post-wedding plans are to stay in a nice hotel the night of our wedding, explore around our city on Sunday, and wake up Monday to go to the airport (since it will be Memorial Day, we won't have to take that day off!), and head out to this beautiful place. Spend the week there, return monday evening, order chinese or pizza in with at least 6 cans of mountain dew each, open all of our presents/cards, take the following day off work to relax and recoup, THEN return to work on Wednesday. Goodness goodness I can't wait.

Now! Onto the randomness that Wednesdays bring!

As you all probably know, my Bengals lost it for us in the first week of play-offs. Mind you, these pictures were before we realized we were done for...

yes, that is our new poncho I am wearing.
excuse the tinge of evil in my eyes...
I want to keep you guys up to date on my New years resolutions. I am proud to say I have flossed my teeth EVERY single night... this is HUGE. I typically did it about 7 times a year... now? Every. Single. Dang. Night. WOO!

I have read a portion of my bible every night. Its the "Bible in a Year" plan. Woo! Its crazy that it will take 365 days of this, but I am proud to say I have stuck with it, and will continue to do so. A dear blogger friend of mine (Ashley) and I, are doing this together and we may or may not text about it almost daily ;) she is such a sweet girl and I'm super excited to keep getting to know her. If you don't already follow her, you are crazy ;)

I had what felt like a spring-cleaning day after church Sunday. Woo! Result:

My brother likes to help with my blog sometimes, he's so sweet. So, he took a few stupid pictures of me to "help".

I will leave you with that incredibly embarrassing picture on this random Wednesday. Hope you all have a great hump day ;)

  9. Hi Kayla! I just happened to stumble upon your blog and I love it. I scrapbook my life over at thissweetseason.com and it seems like we have a lot in common - I'm a newlywed, graphic designer, and most importantly, a follower of Christ. Best wishes with wedding planning; it's a whirlwind, but I promise it goes by so fast. Enjoy every sweet moment! I'm looking forward to keeping up with your blog!

  11. I started this whole flossing thing a few years ago, but every time I am at the dentist and tell them I floss every night they act like, "Suuuuuuure, you do! We've heard that one before." So annoying, haha.

That honeymoon location looks FABULOUS. I cannot even begin to imagine your excitement (except I can imagine it a little but your excited face in that picute)

  19. Planning honeymoon far in advance = smart! We planned ours last minute and just about everything that could go wrong did. I hope you don't get slammed with trying to travel around memorial day. We ran into that with columbus day. seriously, columbus day. I hope the resort is so nice and beautiful!
